General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Marcus Taggert’s (Real Andrews) memorial got people talking about another character who was killed off. Taggert had a lovely little tribute, which he certainly deserved. However, Drew Cain (Billy Miller) fans are still upset that GH didn’t do more to acknowledge Drew’s passing.
The timing of Drew’s exit wasn’t great since Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) had been transformed into a version of him. Fake Drew just slid into real Drew’s spot until Franco was back to his old self. Now Drew’s just another forgotten face of the past, but that could change down the road.
Of course, there may be a good reason why General Hospital mostly ignored Drew’s demise. GH writers offered no hard evidence that Drew is dead. A presumed death always leaves the door open for a return, so could GH have plans for that at some point?
Peter August (Wes Ramsey) has done some truly horrific things, but the hit on Drew remains the most horrific. It’s Peter’s fault Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri) will grow up without her father – unless, of course, Drew makes a big comeback. How can Peter be truly redeemed unless GH makes this right? If they aren’t going to write Peter out, he’ll need a get-out-of-jail-free card in more ways than one.
Undoing Drew’s death would give Peter some leverage. Once the jig is up for Peter, he could reveal that Drew’s alive and being held somewhere. Peter might only be willing to offer up that info if he walks free. Not only would it get Peter off the hook, it’d undo the worst of the damage to his character.
General Hospital spoilers say major shockers are brewing in Port Charles. This is the perfect opportunity to let Drew rejoin the action. Drew’s comeback is needed now more than ever thanks to this whole Peter situation. He’s the only solution to salvage Peter’s character – that is it GH wants to!
Billy Miller’s return would be welcomed by plenty of GH viewers. He’s been missed by many ever since his lackluster sendoff. General Hospital could make up for that by giving Drew a powerful return arc – one that shakes up the canvas and changes the game for Peter.
A Drew Cain recast is even an option if that’s the direction GH wants to take. If any other news emerges on this possibility, we’ll pass along updates.
