General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) has finally found Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) hidden weakness. GH fans know Curtis put his private investigating skills to good use and came up with something to use against the enemy.
Cyrus tried to keep his cool, but he was clearly unsettled as Curtis brought up the person who resides in the house on 1257 Wilson Avenue.
Curtis went on to point out that out of all the Wilson Avenues in the world, “there’s only one Wilson Avenue with a sweet arts-and-crafts home with someone in that you care about…enough to send money every week.”
Curtis also suggested that even if Cyrus moved them again and again, he would find them again and again. If Cyrus wants to keep this person safe, Curtis expects Cyrus to play by his rules!
Of course, this naturally has many General Hospital fans curious about exactly who this person is and why Cyrus has a soft spot for him or her. Who is the Achilles’ heel that Curtis has discovered?
Cyrus is an otherwise cold and unfeeling man, but he cares about this person enough to send money weekly and let Curtis ruffle his feathers.
It seems too personal for this house resident to just be a simple ally. Plus, Curtis emphasized that it was someone Cyrus cares about. Although he doesn’t seem to know the whole story here, GH seems to be working that angle for a reason. We’re likely dealing with a family member, so that narrows things down a bit.
It’s possible Cyrus is protecting his dear old mother or something along those lines. That might be a way to eventually show that Cyrus and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) aren’t so different at their core.
Cyrus may seem like the big bad wolf, but General Hospital intends to peel back some layers and show he’s got just as much to lose.
However, GH already has this Alzheimer’s storyline going on with Mike Corbin (Max Gail), so do we really need another story about an elderly parent? With that in mind, it’s possible General Hospital will swing this another way.
Cyrus’ loved one might be a son, daughter or sibling – perhaps one with some chronic health issues or even mental difficulties that make Cyrus want to look after him or her.
Regardless, Curtis may have made a huge mistake by bringing this person into it. Although Curtis rattled Cyrus, we all know Curtis isn’t going to kill Cyrus’ weak spot.
Can you imagine Curtis murdering a defenseless old woman or perhaps Cyrus’ relative with a disability? There’s no way they’ll let a hero like Curtis take out someone who’s innocent in all this.
Despite Cyrus’ initial reaction, he may also know Curtis isn’t capable of that sort of thing. It’s Cyrus who’d be ruthless enough to make a move against the innocent, not Curtis.
However, now that Curtis has riled Cyrus up with this info, there’s a giant target on his back. As Cyrus told Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) later, Curtis is a thorn that’ll have to be pruned if he becomes any sharper or bigger.
