General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) recent conversation with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprona) may have contained some ominous clues about her fate. GH fans know Lulu acknowledged how there are no guarantees in life, so Dante wondered if she needed guarantees.
“Not for myself, I don’t,” Lulu replied. She went on to talk about how things were hard for Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) when Dante left, but at least Charlotte had Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). It was different for Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan).
“Rocco lost his dad. So what I am saying is that you need to stick around!” Lulu insisted. When Dante argued that was the plan, Lulu snapped that Rocco needs more than a plan. “He needs his father! HE needs a guarantee!” Lulu declared.
Dante finally assured Lulu that he wasn’t going anywhere, so let’s talk about the potential significance of this tense discussion.
Since we know Lulu’s set to make a very abrupt exit from General Hospital, it’s led to buzz that Lulu will be killed off. Whether Lulu is presumed dead or a body is found, it seems like a reasonable outcome considering there’s an explosion at The Floating Rib coming up.
Now let’s apply that to Lulu’s latest dialogue, which is pretty troubling when you think about it. Perhaps GH writers were trying to suggest that Lulu doesn’t need a guarantee because she’ll be deceased. It felt like they were laying the groundwork for Dante to step up as a single father to Rocco.
Lulu was adamant about Dante sticking around and needed a guarantee for her son’s sake. Of course, Lulu can’t predict the future, but the writing team can. Dante may think back on this discussion after Lulu’s gone and know he has to be the father Rocco needs.
As Lulu pointed out, Charlotte had Valentin to lean on while Dante was out of the picture. Likewise, Charlotte can lean on Valentin once Lulu’s gone, too. It’s Rocco who will desperately need a stable, loving parent – and Dante will have to be that parent.
This is sad to think about, but it’s poignant to have this dialogue set up Dante and Rocco’s strong father-son bond in the aftermath of Lulu’s exit. Dante will have to help Rocco carry on, so that should bring some gripping story potential. We’ll bring you updates as other GH news emerges.
