General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, October 9 Recap - Dante & Lulu Meet - Trina’s Cyrus Mission - Gladys Makes Trouble For Brando

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, October 9, reveal that Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) explained to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) via phone that she missed Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) funeral because Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan) was ill, and she asked Olivia to express her deep condolences to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) later.

Olivia agreed, and later Lulu and Dustin Philips (Mark Lawson) were flirting at Lulu’s place when Lulu let it slip that she loved Dustin.

Dustin quickly returned the sentiment, and Lulu asked Dustin to move in with her. Dustin loved the idea, but he said that they needed to make sure that the kids were on board. Dustin also wanted to discuss Dante Falconeri (Dominick Zamprogna), and he wanted to respect Dante’s relationship with the kids.

Lulu said that a part of her would always love Dante, but that he told her to move on and she did. Dustin accepted Lulu’s invitation, and they kissed happily.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson), and Olivia briefly discussed Mike’s passing, and then Monica wanted a word in private with Ned.

Olivia went on to the Metro Court for the funeral reception, and Ned and Monica stayed behind. Monica told Ned that she had talked with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliott) and that Tracy was furious about his rift with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane).

Monica relayed that Tracy was going to come straighten things out with Ned if he didn’t do it himself, and she offered to help smooth things over with Brook Lynn herself.

Ned thought that he and Brook Lynn could work out their own difficulties. Through the conversation, Monica compared Ned to his grandfather, who was a philanderer, which unnerved Ned.

At Charlie’s Pub, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) was going over gallery business with Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) when Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) walked up.

Trina was barely civil with Jordan and Curtis. Soon, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) walked up and made a comment to Trina about her father, and Trina stood up and yelled at Cyrus about how he’s a liar and a killer.

Curtis rushed up and got rid of Cyrus, then Curtis walked away. Ava was sorry that Cyrus had bothered Trina, and Trina said that she was tired of feeling angry and helpless all the time. “Take that anger and use it,” Ava said. Trina wondered what she could do, and Ava suggested that she change the narrative about her father.

Curtis then approached Cyrus over by the bar, telling him that Trina was off-limits, but Cyrus said that his business was with Jordan, and that he wanted some information on a particular PCPD case file.

Curtis rattled off the Wilson Avenue address, and Cyrus told Curtis never to threaten him again. Curtis walked off, and Jordan wondered what the Wilson Avenue address was all about, but she got a call and had to step outside.

Trina took off, and Cyrus joined Ava, who said that they had nothing of interest to discuss. Cyrus brought up Julian Jerome (William deVry), and Ava wondered what Cyrus wanted with a bar owner.

“Julian hasn’t always been a simple bar proprietor,” Cyrus said. Cyrus took off in short order, telling Ava to tell Julian that he was asking about him. Curtis then spoke briefly with Ava, who thanked him for saving Trina’s life.

At the church, Dante and Sonny hugged, and Dante was sorry that he’d missed Mike’s service. Dante asked about how Mike was toward the end, and Sonny shared that he wasn’t at all like himself, which upset Dante.

Dante said that he was proud of Sonny for letting Mike go. Sonny then wanted Dante to come to the Metro Court where everyone was gathering after the service.

Dante refused, saying that he wasn’t up for a big party, and that he wanted to see his mom without everyone else around. Dante said that he needed to take care of something first, and that some time they would get three tickets to a Yankee’s game – one for each of them, and one for Mike.

Dante took off to walk around Port Charles and to take care of his errand.

Over at the Metro Court, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) talked about Josslyn’s kiss with Cameron Webber (William Lipton) at the dance. Carly encouraged Josslyn to talk with both Cameron and Trina about the kiss.

Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) walked in, and Sam went off to call Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

Brando attempted to talk business, but Jason said that now’s not the time, and that they needed to wait for Sonny to make the call about whether Brando would become a double agent against Cyrus.

Sam and Jason regrouped, and Sam wondered what was going on with Brando, while at the bar Brook Lynn texted Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) thanking her and saying that everything was ready for the Deception meeting later.

Alexis walked in and spoke briefly with Brando about his one-night stand with Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos), which unnerved Brando.

Carly and Josslyn continued talking at the bar, and Carly suggested that Josslyn write about her feelings for Cameron in her journal. Josslyn said that she put her journal away in the memory box that Carly started for her in the basement.

Dev Corbin (Ashton Arbab) overheard this exchange and absorbed that information. Trina walked in, and she and Josslyn each said that they had something important to tell the other.

Elsewhere, Sam cornered Alexis about why she missed Mike’s funeral. Alexis made lame excuses, which Sam didn’t readily accept. Olivia walked up and spoke to a nervous Alexis, who promptly rushed off, pretending to be getting a call.

Later, Brook Lynn confessed to Olivia that she erased Olivia’s message to Ned about Monte Carlo. Olivia was peeved, but she extended forgiveness to Brook Lynn.

Out on the terrace, Alexis dumped her club soda in the bushes and whipped out a bottle of vodka. Alexis poured vodka into her glass and drank, which Olivia witnessed from inside.

Olivia approached Alexis and said that she was here to talk if Alexis wanted a friend. Alexis started rambling about how Ned has been helping her. Ned approached and looked aghast to see Olivia and Alexis together.

Brando and Dev were talking at a table when Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) burst in and started talking a mile a minute about how she didn’t know the service was today and that she missed it. Brando and Dev reeled.

Elsewhere, Trina told Josslyn and Dev that she made a decision to try to prove that Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) didn’t frame Cyrus. Trina said that she was going to clear her dad’s name, and Josslyn and Dev pledged their help with Trina’s quest.

Dev walked off, and Trina and Josslyn decided to start by getting their hands on some police files on Cyrus.

Gladys approached Carly, and various people approached as Gladys went on about how Brando needed to become a “trusted associate” like Jason. Carly was mortified, and Jason and Sam were clearly uncomfortable with Gladys’ display.

Brando tried to get his mom to shut up, but Gladys kept rambling, and soon Sonny arrived and wondered what was going on.

Carly and Sam took Gladys off for a drink, and Jason noticed that Cyrus walked in the place, so he rushed over and told Cyrus that he wasn’t welcome there. Meanwhile, Sonny told Brando that the matter of whether he’d become a part of the organization had been decided.

Over at the Corinthos house, Dev went to the basement and located Josslyn’s journal in a box.

And back at Lulu’s place, the doorbell rang. Lulu rushed out from the bedroom, buttoning her shirt, and answered the door to find Dante standing there. Lulu was stunned, and Dante looked happy to see Lulu again.
