General Hospital Spoilers: GH Special Election Episode – Port Charles Goes Back in Time, History Behind Women’s Right to Vote

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the ABC soap has a very special episode coming up, and it’ll take Port Charles back in time. GH does something different every now and then – like when they did their take on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol during the holidays.

In this upcoming episode, GH will highlight the suffrage movement and the history behind women’s right to vote.

Some new behind-the-scenes pics have surfaced from this intriguing show, which will include plenty of cast members. It looks like someone may have a dream – or perhaps Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) will get a history lesson as part of a project for school.

Just like in the Scrooge-themed special, current cast members will play other characters living in another era. This period episode should be a fun one, so let’s talk about who’s confirmed to be in it.

Brook Kerr (Portia Robinson), Cassandra James (Terry Randolph), Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis), Maura West (Ava Jerome Cassadine), Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Baldwin), Briana Nicole Henry (Jordan Ashford), Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos), Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) will all be featured along with McCoy and Mikayla.

The leaked photos show the whole gang decked out in fantastic costumes, so it looks like we’re in for a treat. Although Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne) wasn’t included in the pics, it does look like she’ll be part of the fun. On Twitter, Thiebaud confirmed her involvement in a special episode that’s looming – and it seems to be this one.

“Really excited to be involved in the episode we’re shooting today! Can’t wait for y’all to see it,” Thiebaud tweeted. Considering Britt is back to being “The Britch” around GH, she may play someone who opposes those who have banded together to support votes for women.

Thiebaud works well in that sassy, villainous type of role, so it’d be a good way to go.

There’s no word on when this episode will air, but November 3 is a possibility due to the election and timing of filming. Then again, General Hospital might air it just before that to promote the idea of voting on the big day.

Regardless, GH has some excitement in store for fans, so it’ll be interesting to see what this episode looks like. We’ll offer updates as other news emerges. General Hospital spoilers say there’ll be some great surprises, so stay tuned.
