General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans are getting excited about the return of new GH episodes. The cast has been keeping pretty quiet for the most part, but a handful of performers have been willing to address the show’s comeback. Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix DuBois) is the latest ABC soap star to weigh in – and he confirmed he’s filming at General Hospital again.
On Instagram, Samuel posted a picture of himself in a mask and added a caption that said, “Workplace moda.” Since Samuel didn’t specify where he was working, a fan wanted confirmation that he meant General Hospital. Samuel’s response indeed confirmed it, and he later shared a news article on his GH return in an Instagram story.
Samuel’s response follows Josh Swickard’s previous Instagram post about returning to work, which brought a bit of confusion. Swickard eventually told a fan he was filming something else first, but he was “coming back to GH soon!”
ABC exec Nathan Varni also tweeted about General Hospital delivering new episodes starting August 3, which William deVry (Julian Jerome) retweeted. It looks like that August 3 return airdate is still on track, even though things have been rather hush-hush at the studio.
The cast and crew are undoubtedly busy trying to get those episodes to fans as fast as safely possible, which is no easy task with all the new protocols. Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) hasn’t indicated that he’s back on set yet, but he has offered promises to curious fans on Instagram and Twitter.
Benard recently posted a pic with Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful) and praised the Daytime Emmys for helping them present together virtually. He included “@generalhospitalabc coming soon” and “#soap operas are alive #love my job #sonny” in his description.
Benard also assured a fan in the comments that GH would indeed be back on the air soon, so let’s hope August 3 sticks for their next new episode. It’s nice to hear that Benard’s fired up about the show’s return because viewers are fired up, too!
