General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a big reveal is coming up, but it may play out in an unexpected way. GH fans know Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) just found the half-heart pendant Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) dropped – the one that fell off Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) when she took that cliff tumble. Sonny asked Avery if the necklace was hers, but viewers haven’t heard her response yet.
Of course, Avery might claim she got it on her trip with Ava Cassadine (Maura West) – which wouldn’t really be a lie. However, Sonny might assume this was a gift from Ava and brush it off as nothing.
Avery’s old enough to have jewelry, so this shouldn’t be a huge deal to Sonny. He might even tie it in with the conversation they just had about Mike Corbin (Max Gail) always living in their hearts.
Maybe Sonny will tell Avery she can use this necklace as a reminder of Mike when she gets sad. That brings us to some intriguing new clues. For starters, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is naturally grieving Mike’s death right now.
Sadly, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) may make matters worse when he opens up to Joss later this week.
Cam might reveal that his feelings for Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) are deeper than what he feels for Joss. If not, Cameron may at least admit he’s still torn. Bottom line, Joss is bummed out and will probably feel worse by the time homecoming night rolls around. S
he might even think back to her fantasy of Mike and wish he was around to give her a corsage as well as advice.
If Avery realizes her big stepsister’s upset, she’ll surely want to cheer her up. It’s easy to imagine Avery giving Joss the necklace to wear to the homecoming dance. Avery might insist it’s to help Joss remember that Mike’s in her heart – just like Avery learned from Sonny.
Why would GH writers do this, you ask? Because General Hospital spoilers say Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will make homecoming pictures! Jax may start snapping away and not even notice that Joss is now wearing the other half-heart pendant that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is so desperately seeking.
It could lead to some photo evidence that’ll stir up some shockers and questions later.
This would be an excellent twist in the necklace storyline, so stay tuned to see if Avery offers a gift that leads to trouble. As other GH news rolls in, we’ll provide updates.
