General Hospital Spoilers: Kirsten Storms Speaks Out Against Bullying – GH Star Maxie Jones Encourages Fans to Spread Love, Not Hate

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) is speaking out against bullying and supporting a brand that does the same. On Instagram, Storms praised Lion Brand Yarn for their campaign called “Hat Not Hate” and vowed to support it. As someone who’s been the victim of bullying and online negativity, this is certainly a cause that Storms wants to support.

“The @lionbrandyarn #hatnothate campaign, that brings awareness to bullying, makes me so proud to be a Lion Brand customer,” Storms said in a recent post. “As soon as I’m done with my current knitting project for our KAL (I’ve been out the last few days with the flu – bear with me) I plan to knit a few blue beanies and send them in to the #HatNotHate headquarters.”

Storms went on to explain a little more about how this campaign works and what the ultimate goal is. It’s all about promoting acceptance and love. “They give the hats out at schools across the country to remind kids about the importance of being kind to one another and just because someone is different from them, that doesn’t mean they’re deserving of negative words or feelings,” Storms said.

The General Hospital actress added a few words about why this topic matters so much to her. She had some sweet comments for anyone out there who might feel set apart from the crowd. “We are all different from each other – that’s what makes us special,” Storms insisted. “It’s what makes us human. I’ve mentioned on my page before that kindness and positivity towards others is so important.”

Storms also thinks it’s crucial to remember that you never know what someone else might be going through. We all fight inner battles and face issues no one else is privy to. “You truly never know what another individual’s life is like, what their hidden struggles are – or what YOUR words could do to them,” Storms said.

The GH star concluded with some excellent advice. Positivity is always better than negativity! “Be a light in someone’s day,” Storms suggested. “I’d rather be remembered for spreading love than hate….Love lasts longer.” Storms added a couple of great hashtags like “#spreadlove” and “#bullyingisfortheweakminded” as she wrapped up her post.

It’s awesome to see Storms using her platform for good and encouraging others to be positive. As for what’s next in Port Charles, General Hospital spoilers, updates and news point to major drama for Maxie. Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) charade will begin to fall apart – and that can only lead to heartbreak!
