General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) recently addressed the topic of marriage on social media. Many GH fans know by now that Wright is in a serious relationship with Wes Ramsey, who plays Peter August on General Hospital.
Since Wright and Ramsey obviously seem quite happy together, could wedding bells ring anytime soon?
It certainly doesn’t sound like it based on Wright’s latest social media posts. On Twitter, Wright shared a post from People titled, “Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn Never Felt the Need to Wed: ‘It’s About the Will to Stay Together’”
That was something Wright could really get behind, so she tagged Ramsey and suggested she was on the same page about focusing more on the relationship than the notion of it building to marriage. “I feel ya !!!! Ha right @wesramsey,” Wright said.
Plenty of Wright’s fans piped up in agreement that marriage was overrated and praised Wright for sticking to what works for her. On Instagram, Wright put up an Instagram story and included the cover of People featuring Russell and Hawn’s marriage stance.
In that Instagram story, Wright once again hinted that marriage isn’t part of her current plans. “I totally understand,” Wright said.
Of course, never say never! There’s always a chance Wright will change her mind somewhere down the line. For right now, it seems like Wright and Ramsey are content with the way things are. There’s no indication that they feel the need to tie the knot.
From the sound of it, Wright believes the commitment itself is the most important part. Ramsey and Wright’s romance appears to be going strong, so they must be doing something right! Weddings can be great, but they aren’t for everyone.
In other words, don’t break out the bubbly and expect an engagement for these two in the near future! Based on Wright’s latest comments, she’s just living her life with Ramsey and loving it.
