General Hospital (GH) spoilers has some fun news to pass on about a couple of GH stars. Mark Lawson, who portrays Dustin Phillips on the ABC soap, recently shared some humorous personal information on Twitter to his co-star, Emme Rylan, who portrays Lulu Spencer.
As GH fans know, a turf war has broken out in Port Charles, and there were two shootings within the city limits – one at Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) coffee warehouse and one on the pier.
During the pier shooting, Dustin happened to come along at just the right time. He tussled with the gunman, disarmed him, and chased him until the gunman got away.
Of course, Lulu was grateful that Dustin stopped the gunman, as he probably saved the lives of Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson).
Dustin also likely prevented Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) insures from being more severe or fatal. But still, Lulu had a problem with the whole thing.
As Lulu later told Laura, she wondered if she could emotionally handle getting involved with another hero. Of course, GH viewers know that her prior marriage to Dante Falconeri (Dominick Zamprogna) ended in a painful divorce after Dante suffered serious psychological trauma due to his need to be a hero.
Well, during one scene where Lulu and Dustin were talking about his heroics on the pier, Lulu gave Dustin a particular look – a look that Dustin’s portrayer Mark Lawson apparently recognized. He retweeted a still from the scene that the official @GeneralHospital account posted, with Lulu giving Dustin the look.
He then tweeted the following to his co-star: “Hey @EmmeRylan, I just realized my wife gives me this look too! Usually when one of my kids tattle on me for letting them watch JAWS or similar.”
Several of Mark’s followers on Twitter have responded to the post, with many loving his sense of humor and clearly liking Lulu and Dante as a couple. One person said: “You and Emme seem to have a great friendship. Can’t wait to see where the storyline goes with Lulu and Dustin.”
And another person responded with a little humor: “I didn’t think I could accept anyone other than Dante, but you have changed my mind. Now don’t mess it up and let Rocco or Charlotte watch Jaws.” Of course, that person is referring to Lulu’s kids, Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan) and Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).
At any rate, it’s nice to see the actors who portray Dustin Phillips and Lulu Spencer engaged on Twitter and commenting about their lives and about the fun they have on the show.
