General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will bump into Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) on December 1, so that should bring an opportunity to bond. GH fans know Dev Cerci aka “Dev Corbin” (Ashton Arbab) didn’t survive the recent explosion, so Brando was left saddened by the loss.
Dev wasn’t Brando’s real son, but they still formed a nice bond over the last few months. Brando truly grew to care about Dev and enjoyed giving him advice. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) broke the news to Brando and took a moment to remember Dev with him, but now it’ll be Maxie’s turn to offer some sympathy.
Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) took a turn for the worse and ended up in a coma, but Maxie may or may not have updates on that when she runs into Brando. This could offer a chance for Brando to offer Maxie some sympathy as well, but let’s focus on the Dev angle. Maxie will undoubtedly remember Brando talking about Dev at the garage.
When Maxie first asked Brando if he had kids, Brando said he didn’t. He quickly corrected himself and admitted to having a teenage son. Maxie thought it was strange that Brando wouldn’t remember, but he pointed out that he didn’t exactly know his kid when he was in a car seat.
However, Maxie insisted there’d be plenty of time for Brando to bond with his son. That was in September, but now Dev’s dead two months later. Maxie’s prediction was wrong – and she’s been learning just how uncertain life can be. If Maxie knows about Lulu’s coma by the time this conversation happens, it’ll really drive that point home.
Whatever the case, Maxie will surely offer her condolences to Brando. She’ll know it must be hard knowing Dev’s gone and there’ll be no more chances to connect. Maxie may remind Brando to cling to the memories he has and trust that he made a difference in Dev’s life. She won’t know that Dev was Brando’s fake son, but she’ll know Brando’s hurting in his own way.
Maxie and Brando could have a future together since GH keeps offering these little moments to bond. After all, General Hospital spoilers suggest Maxie will need a new love interest down the road.
Once Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is exposed, maybe Brando can slide in Peter’s spot and help raise Maxie’s children. It’d be awfully sweet to see the “Braxie” family, but Brando and Maxie can strengthen their friendship for now.
