General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will have to get to the bottom of something when GH returns with new episodes. When the show last left off, Maxie was clearly battling some pregnancy fears. Maxie seemed quite overwhelmed by the thought that she might have Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) bun in the oven.
Since Maxie isn’t sure she’s pregnant just yet, she opted to leave Peter out of the loop until she learns more. General Hospital may show us Maxie’s upcoming trip to the doctor, which should bring baby bomb confirmation.
What will Maxie do once she’s certain of an impending bundle of joy? Maxie will likely worry about how Peter’s going to take the news, so she may not tell him right off the bat.
Perhaps Maxie will confide in her bestie, Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan), in the beginning. That could bring the potential for someone like Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to overhear and rev up his efforts to sink Peter. The sooner Spinelli gets proof against Peter, the faster Spin can show Maxie his true colors and get Peter away from her.
Will Spinelli come up with enough evidence to convince Maxie that Peter’s lying to her? Could Maxie hide her pregnancy and start keeping a few secrets of her own from Peter? It’d be nice to see Maxie take charge of this situation instead of being a gullible damsel in distress.
Maybe Maxie could join forces with Spinelli and get behind this effort to destroy him. If Maxie sees that Peter’s genuinely dangerous and could be a threat to this child, she might hide the baby shocker for a while. Maxie could focus on Peter’s secret takedown with the goal of protecting this kid.
Since Peter’s such a wildcard, Maxie may think it’s best to conceal the baby bombshell. Peter could spin out of control if he eventually learns Maxie’s pregnant AND plotting against him!
That’s definitely the kind of thing that could push Peter over the edge and perhaps lead to a kidnapping scenario. It’ll be interesting to see where GH writers head with this exciting storyline.
