General Hospital Spoilers: Michael’s New Job Opportunity Affects Willow Marriage – Pulls ‘Millow’ Closer or Drives Them Apart?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has a big opportunity headed his way. On October 21, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will hope to hire someone at Aurora Media ASAP. Sam will have an important position to fill, so Michael could easily rise to the top of her candidate list.

Michael took a leave of absence at ELQ after the truth came out about Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), which was a good idea since he needed to get to know his son a little better.

Of course, a ton of Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) followed, so Michael eventually needed to devote all his time and attention to the custody battle.

Michael had every intention of returning to his role as CEO, but Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) had other plans since he knocked Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) out as a temporary CEO and prevented Michael from reclaiming his spot.

GH fans know Michael seemed pretty chill under the circumstances – and that’s because he’s content to be a doting daddy and devoted husband.

Michael was prepared to just be a stay-at-home dad for a while, but sometimes you have to answer when opportunity knocks. General Hospital spoilers say an opportunity will indeed land in Michael’s lap on October 21 – the same day Sam’s hoping to hire a new employee for a crucial Aurora Media position.

Whether Michael is offered the CEO gig or another huge role, this does sound like something that’ll appeal to Michael. Naturally, Michael will want to talk things over with Willow first. That brings us to some important ways this new job could affect Michael’s relationship.

For starters, Willow and Michael may start to feel more and more like a real couple. It’s a good idea for couples to make big employment decisions together, especially when they’re raising a toddler.

Michael may want to be sure Willow’s OK with him going back to work and leaving her with the main parenting responsibilities.

Willow and Michael have a nanny, so it’s not like Willow will be completely on her own. Even so, Michael’s a sweetheart who’ll want to be certain he has Willow’s approval.

This certainly sounds like something Willow would be all for, especially if she sees that Michael’s excited about getting back in the corporate game. Willow’s the kind of person who’d want Michael to follow his dreams.

All of this could really strengthen Willow and Michael’s bond in the coming weeks. It could leave them certain that what they want is a strong marriage, not a divorce.

Michael and Willow are still taking things one step at a time, but they may ultimately decide the only steps they want to take are ones that propel them forward as a happily married couple.

On the other hand, Michael will have less time to spend with Willow and Wiley. If Michael jumps right in at Aurora Media and lets his work consume him, it could create opportunities to drift apart.

Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) still isn’t over Willow, so there could be trouble if Michael’s focused on work and Willow finds herself moving back in her ex’s direction.

Bottom line, Michael’s new job won’t just be a new job if he accepts it. There’ll be ways for GH writers to use this as a way to strengthen Michael’s marriage or tear it apart depending on how they want to take things. We’ll offer updates as other news comes in.

General Hospital spoilers say Michael and Willow will stick together for a while, but we’ll see how long this marriage actually lasts. Plenty of GH fans are rooting for “Millow,” so let’s hope for the best! CDL will have tons of other General Hospital spoilers, news and updates to pass along, so check back often.
