General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, December 21 – Jason’s Failed Sonny Rescue – Dead Body Found – Maxie & Peter’s Baby Gender

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, December 21, tease that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will continue to clash with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Despite being half-siblings, Laura will refuse to believe they have anything in common at all.

As for Florence Grey, Laura will insist that Cyrus shouldn’t ask his mother for something she can’t give. Laura may mean forgiveness since Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) just told Laura that Cyrus killed their father!

Cyrus maintains that he didn’t mean to kill Gordon Grey when he ran him down, but Florence refused to believe it was a horrible mistake – even after the police cleared him.

Martin still blames Cyrus and doesn’t believe their mother will ever be proud of Cyrus. Laura should agree with that based on Cyrus track record. General Hospital spoilers say there’ll be more harsh words exchanged as the family drama continues.

Speaking of family drama, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will make an admission to his own father, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison). “But that’s not the reason I didn’t come to your wedding,” Finn says in Monday’s GH preview video.

Finn will acknowledge that he was indeed upset about Gregory moving on too fast after his mother died, but that wasn’t what kept him from attending the nuptials. However, it’s hard to believe Finn will truly come clean about his pre-wedding romp in the sack with Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney).

Instead, Finn may offer some other take on the situation and keep that night buried. Whatever the case, Finn will soon turn his attention to a poker game with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). Chase will convince Finn to play some cards with him – and Gregory may get in on the action as well.

At the Metro Court, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will meet up with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), but she won’t think he’ll like what she has to say. Valentin recently asked Anna to meet with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and assess his mental state.

Anna can tell Dante’s having a rough time, so she may admit that to Valentin.

Over with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), she’ll feel like Dante’s doing the right thing. Dante may bring Carly up to speed on the plan Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) helped him come up with.

Olivia suggested that maybe Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan) could split his time between home and the Quartermaine mansion.

It should help since Rocco’s still adjusting to Dante being back – and comatose Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) isn’t around to help bridge the gap. Carly will offer encouragement and let Dante meet Donny Corinthos (Ella and Emma Hulen) during his visit.

That should bring some warm moments as Dante gets to know his newest little sister.

Over with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), she’ll have a change of heart. “Funny that you should mention that,” Maxie says to a surprised Peter August (Wes Ramsey) on Monday’s preview clip.

Peter may bring up the fact that they decide to wait on learning their baby’s gender. It looks like Maxie won’t be able to wait after all – or has perhaps already gotten the answer on her own!

Either way, Maxie and Peter’s baby gender will be revealed to fans soon enough. Meanwhile, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will dive in the water and desperately search for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), who just fell with dead Julian Jerome (William deVry) on the collapsed bridge.

Someone can be heard on Monday’s preview video saying to bring the body, but that should be Julian’s corpse that’s recovered. As for Sonny, he’ll be missing and should turn up somewhere else with amnesia eventually. We’ll keep you posted as other GH news and updates roll in.
