General Hospital Spoilers: Will Pine Valley Take GH Stars Away? – What All My Children Sequel Means for Port Charles

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that All My Children fans are still rejoicing over a big announcement for the soap world. Ever since the show’s cancelation, there have been plenty of AMC lovers holding out hope for a reboot.

Now one’s on the way if all goes well, so we’re all looking forward to the primetime debut of Pine Valley!

This AMC sequel is also set to air on ABC and could end up featuring some faces you’ll recognize. Although there’ll be lots of new characters, Pine Valley will also honor the history of some of the show’s core families. They’re hoping to invite some key players back for guest stints, so that’s great to hear.

On Twitter, Kristen Alderson (ex-Kiki Jerome) sent out a message to acknowledge what a massive deal this is. Alderson is definitely counting on Pine Valley to bring back familiar actors as planned and said so in a tweet.

“Very excited for everyone in the Soap community!” Alderson gushed. “This is huge! Please please please hire the original actors!”

Of course, One Life to Live fans will remember Alderson from her days as Starr Manning – a role Alderson also played on GH before portraying Kiki. OLTL was another popular ABC soap back in the day, so Alderson’s rooting for everyone at her old sister soap.

If Pine Valley is a smashing success, perhaps One Life to Live could get a primetime revival of its own. This AMC reboot is a dream come true for fans of the show, so there’ll hopefully be tons of old fans tuning in.

You can bet Pine Valley will pick up some new ones, too. As long as they put out an entertaining show, new and old fans alike should be pleased!

If Alderson’s wish comes true and the original actors are hired, that could mean some General Hospital stars might abandon ship or at least do double duty.

After all, there are many AMC alums that now star on GH like Michael E. Knight (Martin Grey), Finola Hughes (Anna Devane), Genie Francis (Laura Collins), Jane Elliot (Tracy Quartermaine), Kathleen Gati (Liesl Obrecht) and more.

Billy Miller (ex-Drew Cain) and Rebecca Budig (ex-Hayden Barnes) are also General Hospital alums who did prior stints on All My Children. This presents an opportunity for Pine Valley to snatch up some fantastic talent and recapture the magic of the past in many ways.

Whatever happens, it’s just nice to see AMC remembered and given this primetime opportunity. We’ll bring you updates as other GH news becomes available.
