General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) could face another romantic setback. GH fans have been rooting for Alexis to find her happily ever after for a while now. Some viewers are still holding out hope for Alexis’ reunion with Julian Jerome (William deVry). Julian did some pretty messed up things, but there’s no denying that “Julexis” has some sizzling chemistry.
Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) came along and provided another love interest option. He’s kind, intelligent and has a lot in common with Alexis. They’ve connected and have slowly been starting the first chapter of their love story.
Will GH close the book before they have a chance to take this any further? That’s a concern based on some new General Hospital spoilers about Neil and Alexis.
Neil has been out of town for the holidays, but he’ll soon head back home. Of course, there’s a possibility Port Charles won’t be home for long! General Hospital spoilers say Neil will return with stunning news. He’ll deliver a shocker that’ll shake things up and could threaten his future with Alexis.
It’s possible Neil will get a job offer elsewhere and consider moving. He’s not in all the deep with Alexis yet, so it’s definitely something he’d consider. It’s worth mentioning that Neil isn’t onscreen much and doesn’t seem to be a priority for General Hospital.
There’s a chance that’ll change in 2020, but there’s also a chance they intend to scrap Neil and Alexis’ love story.
However, Alexis and Neil fans are optimistic about this being an obstacle for them to tackle together. If Neil’s stunning news doesn’t involve a job offer, what else could it be about? There are still plenty of questions swirling about Neil’s dead daughter.
Did Joanna Byrne really kill herself or was there more to the story? Could Joanna have faked her death to get away from the threat of the cult she got mixed up in?
There are certainly some interesting possibilities to explore here. If Neil found out about Joanna’s survival, he might leave town to give her his full attention – at least for a while.
Then again, Neil’s shocker may involve his ex-wife, Deidre Byrne. If she reached out and they reconnected, that could put his budding romance with Alexis at risk. Whatever the case, Neil will drop a bomb on Alexis soon enough!
