General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) intuition may be spot-on when it comes to Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) – at least this time around.
During a conversation with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), Carly opened up about the nightmares she’s been having. Although Carly can logically grasp the idea that Nelle is dead and gone, something just won’t let go inside.
Carly suggested that she may be done with Nelle, but it’s like Nelle isn’t done with Carly! GH fans will recall that Carly got duped by Nelle’s innocent act when she first arrived in Port Charles.
Jason feels like Carly has good instincts, but she pointed out that wasn’t the case when it came to Nelle.
However, Carly may be right about this gut feeling that Nelle isn’t done with her. Perhaps it’s because Nelle is actually alive and well! General Hospital never showed fans Nelle’s body, so it’s tough to buy that Nelle is truly gone forever.
Nelle and Carly are like some twisted form of reverse soulmates – bitter enemies destined to keep landing back in each other’s orbit. If Nelle were really dead, her ghost would probably be haunting Carly right about now.
There’d be flickering lights, scattered messes in the house, creepy whispers…the whole nine yards! That’s just how soaps tend to operate with a character like Nelle.
Instead, Carly’s still feeling some sort of pull to Nelle and is getting haunted in her dreams. It just goes back to that intuition idea that Jason mentioned. Maybe somewhere deep down, Carly can sense that Nelle’s alive – even if her mind isn’t registering it as a possibility.
That may be why Carly’s so confused and overwhelmed by what she’s feeling. Another Nelle storm may be blowing in! It’s like when some people can just feel it in their bones. Is all of this building up to Nelle’s shocking revenge?
Everyone knows how crafty Nelle can be, so there’s surely some way she could’ve faked her death – especially with the help of Dawnies who were devoted to Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McCaughlin).
Perhaps Nelle is even monitoring the behavior of those she left behind. It wouldn’t be farfetched for Nelle to have some Dawn of Day spies who remained loyal to Shiloh’s widow.
It’d be interesting if Nelle was watching to see how characters like Carly and even Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) would react. Nina might be forgiven for her own betrayal since she’s stepping up for “dead” Nelle.
Carly, on the other hand, is involved in a cover-up with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and wants Nelle to be forgotten.
Once Nelle’s ready to reveal herself down the road, she may show up looking for revenge on coldhearted Carly! We’ll keep bringing you updates as other GH news becomes available.
