General Hospital Spoilers: Nina’s Big Decision, Testifies For Nelle In Wiley’s Custody Case - Carly & Sonny Her New Enemies?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will find herself in a real predicament. As GH viewers know, Nina has been giving serious thought to testifying at Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) and Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) custody hearing. Nelle and Michael are set to duke it out in court over the custody of Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), and Nelle needs a good character witness, which is where Nina might come in.

However, Nina doesn’t know what to do. Nelle has asked Nina to testify on her behalf, but Nina is skittish about doing that. Nina doesn’t know Nelle that well – she just knows that Nelle is a decent employee for the brief time that she’s been on Crimson’s payroll.

But Nina does sympathize a bit with Nelle’s plight as a mother who could lose her child, and there’s a big part of Nina that wants to advocate for Wiley having both parents in his life.

But if Nina does go through with it and testify as a character witness for Nelle, then that’s going to put her at serious odds with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

As GH viewers will remember, Carly was initially furious with Nina for hiring Nelle, but then Nina explained that her mission was to find dirt on Nelle so that she could help Michael in the case. That seemed to satisfy Carly at the time.

But then Nina started to kind of like Nelle, and she was touched while listening to Nelle’s dream about having a house with a white picket fence that Wiley could grow up in.

Nina could appreciate that sentiment coming from Nelle, and now she seems to think that Wiley would be better off with the love and support of both of his parents.

And this all puts Nina in a bind. There’s probably a big side of her that wants to go to court and say that both Nelle and Michael should be parents to their son, so her actual position is that joint custody would be the best option. But of course, neither Nelle nor Michael are asking for joint custody; they each want sole custody.

So, if Nina testifies for Nelle as a character witness, she’d really be advocating for Nelle to get sole custody. And if Nina does side with Nelle, then she’s going to have a lot of enemies really quickly.

Carly and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be livid with her, as will much of Port Charles. The whole thing could even cause friction between Nina and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), who absolutely does not like Nelle and would likely side squarely with Carly and Sonny on this one.

We’ll see what happens here – maybe Nelle won’t even need Nina after she reveals her marriage, which almost certainly looks to be to Julian Jerome (William deVry). Still, Nelle’s lawyer Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) will probably push for Nina to testify, since Nelle needs all the help she can get. So, what will Nina do?

What do you think? Will Nina ultimately testify in favor of Nelle? Stay tuned to General Hospital and keep checking back with us for the latest GH updates. Here at CDL, we’ve got all your soap spoilers, news, and recaps, so stick with us!
