General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) could be going down a dangerous path. As GH viewers know, it was Sasha’s big idea for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to marry Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), and then she and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) decided to force the issue and make Willow and Michael think that they were having an affair.
It seemed like the right thing to do at the time, but the whole thing has really taken its toll on Sasha. Sasha was shown in a recent episode looking completely hungover and distraught when she was supposed to be up and ready for a Deception photo shoot.
It was a rough night for Sasha the night before, since Willow and Michael had just gotten married, and it looked like Sasha had one too many beers to cope. Then, when she couldn’t get her act together and stop crying at the photo shoot, someone offered her drugs to get by.
Well, that seemed to work, and Sasha quickly rallied and was ready to go for the shoot. Chances are, Sasha ended up doing some drugs that wound up in Port Charles thanks to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
Whatever the case, the drugs worked to help Sasha get by, and one wonders whether Sasha will turn to drugs in the future.
After all, things probably aren’t going to get better for Sasha. Willow and Michael will probably have to be married for quite some time, assuming that Michael gets full custody or even shared custody of Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).
Sasha just doesn’t seem to be able to take it with Michael upset with her, and that’s probably not going to change. Could we see Sasha seek more drugs out, and even become dependent on them to function?
Sasha certainly seems like she’s at high-risk right now, and if anyone in Port Charles is poised to become dependent on Cyrus’ drugs, it’s Sasha.
There’s definitely been a lot of talk on GH lately about drugs and keeping Port Charles’ citizens safe from the drug trade. Laura Collins (Genie Francis) had even talked to Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) about heading up an addiction and recovery clinic before he lost his medical license.
One wonders if Sasha could have a crisis with drugs that might spur Laura onto fight against Cyrus and his drug trade even harder.
Could we even be looking at a Sasha overdose down the line? That would be a horrifying event that could really rally Laura and the mayor’s office into fighting Cyrus.
And Sasha in a coma or otherwise in bad shape from an overdose could force her and/or Chase into admitting how they deliberately deceived Michael and Willow in order to get them to marry.
We’ll see what happens here, but Sasha seems like she’s on the verge of a real drug problem. Do you think Sasha will become dependent, or even overdose, on drugs?
