General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be deeply distraught when new episodes resume starting Monday, August 3. GH fans know Sonny’s having a hard time as he faces the imminent death of his father, Mike Corbin (Max Gail).
Sonny’s dealing with some difficulties as he tries to let go, so that may be why Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) finds her husband so distressed.
When Carly comes home on Tuesday, August 4, she’ll see that Sonny’s in bad shape emotionally. Carly won’t really know how to help, but she’ll do the best she can.
It’s hard to watch a loved one struggle in a situation like this. Carly can only try to understand what Sonny’s up against and respond with the support he needs.
Since it looks like Mike’s death is just around the corner, Sonny should continue to suffer. Losing his father will bring excruciating pain, so it’s easy to imagine Sonny throwing himself into a project – like taking down Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
Cyrus may become Sonny’s focus after Mike’s gone, so that could serve as a distraction and prevent Sonny from grieving properly.
Whatever the case, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) had better watch out if he’s keeping secrets from Sonny – and he certainly could be based on the latest General Hospital spoilers.
Cyrus will set up a meeting with Brando on Thursday, August 6, so that may spell trouble. If Brando’s been hiding his connection to Cyrus all this time, Sonny won’t be happy about it!
What happens if Brando is perhaps Cyrus’ son or even just an undercover worker for Sonny’s enemy? What will Sonny do if he finds out Brando betrayed him?
Keep in mind that Sonny’s been stressing the importance of family and has tried to protect Brando. Sonny even got Brando set up in his new garage and fought to keep him safe along with the rest of the fam.
Just imagine Sonny’s fury if he realizes Brando’s actually part of Cyrus’ threat! Since Sonny will already be so angry and distraught over the loss of Mike, that could put an even bigger target on Brando’s back.
Sonny may resolve to make Brando pay the price for his betrayal, so Cyrus and Brando’s problems could get a whole lot worse.
