General Hospital (GH) spoilers has some great news to pass on about a fan-favorite GH star. Sonya Eddy, who portrays Epiphany Johnson on the ABC soap, will be appearing on the premiere of a much-anticipated new CBS series tomorrow night.
The series is called “Tommy” and will premiere on Thursday, February 6th at 10pm Eastern. It stars Emmy Award winner Edie Falco as the first female chief of police in Los Angeles. The series also stars Michael Chernus, Adelaide Clemens, Thomas Sadoski, Russell G. Jones, Olivia Lucy Phillip, Joseph Lyle Taylor, and Vladimir Caamaño.
The official description of “Tommy” is as follows: “A true blue New Yorker, Abigail ’Tommy’ Thomas uses her unflinching honesty and hardball tactics to keep social, political, and national security issues from hindering effective law enforcement in the Southland. Equal parts political, procedural, and family drama, Tommy comes from Paul Attanasio, the creator of Bull and Homicide: Life On The Street.”
Sonya took to Twitter to announce her appearance on the premiere episode of “Tommy.” She posted: “Hey Folks! Wanted to give you a heads up to watch #Tommy on @cbstv tomorrow eve at 10p. You may see someone you recognize! #EdieFalco #ILoveMyJob #cbspilot.”
Sonya has been receiving likes and comments since her announcement. One follower said: “Fantastic. I was gonna watch but now I really will.” And another commented: “Just set my DVR!”
There’s no word on what part Sonya will be playing on the show, but we look forward to watching and seeing her in action! It’s great to see that she’s keeping busy outside of GH although we always love to see her presence on the show and hope to see Epiphany in action at the nurses’ station soon.
