General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that following the news of some major exits, we have updates on the destruction of a popular GH set as well. The Floating Rib is set to be demolished as part of an upcoming explosion storyline, which General Hospital spoilers say will bring the fire department on the scene for some scary moments.
A photo leaked from the studio, which shows the aftermath of the explosion that’ll leave the place charred and unusable – at least for a while. There’s been some debate over whether the set in the pic is The Floating Rib or Charlie’s Pub, but you can see crooked The Floating Rib sign if you look close enough.
Of course, there’s always a chance to rebuild! The Floating Rib already faced serious damage as part of the 2018 earthquake storyline, which resulted in that bizarre barn-looking remodel.
This could serve as another chance to give the place a facelift and keep The Floating Rib’s presence in Port Charles alive.
As for the circumstances of this explosion, that remains a bit of a mystery. We know this explosion will happen for November sweeps. We also know Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) wedding will bring some shockers, but why would Maxie and Peter be getting married in a bar?
It’s possible there’ll be some venue problems that pop up and leave Maxie on a mission to marry Peter anywhere she has to. Maxie may refuse to let anything spoil her big day, but an explosion could happen and spoil it anyway.
It could be a case where programmed Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) goes too far – or perhaps a case where Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) sends a message over the story Peter intends to publish.
Then again, the explosion could be unrelated to Peter and Maxie’s wedding since there’s no confirmation on that. It’s wise to keep an open mind about all the dangerous possibilities!
