General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, May 28 – Nik Tells Liz Jake Is Jason – Carly Blows Up Ric’s Act – Brad’s Surprise Proposal

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, May 28, tease that the ABC soap will switch to another exciting Nurses Ball. GH has been showing some encore episodes from 2014, but it’s time to revisit 2015 now. General Hospital spoilers say this is what you can look forward to in this classic, which aired for the first time on May 1, 2015.

First, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Bechtel) refuses to attend the Nurses Ball due to his disfigured face. Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher), Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) all work to change Spencer’s mind, but Spencer feels he looks too hideous for red carpet pics.

Once Spencer’s alone watching TV, he sees Cameron Webber (Michael Leone) at the event with Emma Scorpio-Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) and flips out. A quick call to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) confirms that she’s no longer a couple with Cam. Spencer hangs up and looks beside himself over Emma being with Cameron at the event.

Meanwhile, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) fibs to Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) about getting held up at work and not being able to make it for the red-carpet fun. After Brad promises to show up for the opening act, he hangs up and settles in for a mini viewing party with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) is attending the Nurses Ball, but Ned Ashton (Wally Kurth) has concerns since she had a labor scare the night before. However, Olivia’s adamant that she wants to enjoy the party.

Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) picks up on Sam Morgan’s (Kelly Monaco) uneasiness as she looks at Olivia. Sam admits she hates not filling Julian Jerome (William deVry) in on the baby.

When Julian appears, Patrick covers that they were talking about Brad not being able to make it for the red carpet walk with Lucas. Back with Britt, she marvels over Grandma Olivia getting pregnant with another baby. Britt’s also taken aback when she spots Sam with Patrick.

Talk turns to Sam’s wardrobe, which Britt is impressed by. Brad ends up making a crack about Sam’s leather jacket and earns some laughs from Britt. In an elevator, Jake Doe (Billy Miller) shuts down Hayden Barnes’ (Rebecca Budig) attempt to explain why she lied to Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst).

Once Jake steps off the elevator, he can’t stop staring at Liz. Ric Lansing (Rick Hearts) notices and drags Liz away along with Cameron and Emma. Over with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), she’s glad Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) was willing to be her date even thought they’re no longer an item.

Lucy wishes things had panned out for Duke and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), who’s with someone else now.

Anne struts in with Kyle Sloane (Rob Derringer) before Lucas and Felix DuBois (Marc Anthony Samuel) hit the red carpet. Brad is suddenly very interested in the TV pre-party.

Brad listens as the reporter asks about Felix and Lucas possibly rekindling their romance. Lucas makes it clear that Felix is simply a friend and coworker. Brad’s face lights up when Lucas insists he’s in love with somebody else.

Next, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) when Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) appears with Ellie Trout (Emily Wilson). Spinelli tries to stop Maxie from going over to confront Nathan and Ellie, but she refuses to budge.

As Maxie starts to make her way over, Spinelli accidentally steps on her dress. Maxie’s horrified as she stumbles and the halter of her gown slips. Everyone around Maxie gasps, but Brad and Britt high-five over the “jackpot” blunder as they watch the show.

Maxie yanks her dress back up before Nathan asks if she’s OK. Since Maxie was wearing something underneath the gown, she feels she was spared from total humiliation. When Maxie and Spinelli question Nathan and Ellie about being at the event together, Nathan points out that he’s single and so is Ellie.

Once Spinelli and Maxie walk away, Ellie expresses concern to Nathan over upsetting them. Nathan thinks that’s what they want; the plan is working. Backstage, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) makes plans for Ric’s performance, which she hopes no one will ever forget.

After Brad bids Britt farewell, he joins Lucas at the Nurses Ball and makes a bet with him about whether or not Liesl will crash the opening act. Lucas doesn’t think it’s going to happen, but Brad feels confident Liesl has something up her sleeve.

When Carly spots Ric, she pushes the idea of peace for Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) sake. Ric looks suspicious, but he goes along with the idea. Right as the opening number concludes, Liesl appears to do her rendition of 99 Red Balloons by Nena.

After Liesl sings and pops red balloons on stage, she scores some applause.

Spencer calls Liesl’s performance “fabulous” as he watches alone at home. He’s thrilled when Britt suddenly appears. Spencer gripes about looking like a freak, but Britt refuses to listen to that kind of talk. When Britt asks about Spencer not attending the gala, he whines that it means nothing without Emma. It takes some work, but Britt eventually convinces Spencer to go to the ball after all.

While Carly gets assistance from Spinelli, Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) stops by Liz’s table to drop off a small black box. It’s something Ric wants Liz to open during his act. Once Ric gets out on stage and starts singing a song about marriage, pictures of Ric and Liz appear on a screen behind him. Liz is overjoyed until one of Hayden and Jake’s wedding pops up.

Carly heads out on stage with Ric and introduces Pete, the man Ric paid to pose as Jake before facial reconstruction. Pete insists that Hayden was in on the plot to split up Jake and Liz. Elizabeth rushes out, so Ric follows along with a worried Nikolas. As for Carly, she’s apologetic about how this affects Jake, but she’s glad that Jake now knows the truth about Hayden the “lying bitch.”

When Ric finds Liz, she slaps him. Liz doesn’t think Ric ever really loved her or else he would’ve have taken the choice away with her. Ric thinks he’s the only choice, but Liz never wants to see him again.

Carly wins up ordering Ric and Hayden to leave the hotel, but she asks Jake for the wedding ring first. After Carly flings it at Hayden, she’s please to see them leave in shame.

Brad gets on stage to finish Ric’s song about marriage and winds up proposing to Lucas afterward. Liz is pacing around backstage when Nikolas catches up with her.

After Liz realizes Jake isn’t married, she decides she can still be with him. Nikolas corrects Liz that Jake is indeed married. He stops Liz from going after Jake and reveals that Jake is actually Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
