General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Tuesday, May 5, teases that Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) will focus on the custody drama ahead. During a meeting with Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight), Nelle will wonder if Martin’s prepared for battle. Nelle will expect Martin to score her sole custody of Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), but Martin will warn that’s probably not going to happen.
Of course, Nelle will find that unacceptable. She’s not paying good money for Martin to lose – and being forced to share Wiley with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) would be a loss in Nelle’s eyes.
Martin will point out that if Nelle wants any kind of shot, she needs someone to testify on her behalf. General Hospital spoilers say Nelle will decide Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) would be her best bet.
GH fans know Nelle’s been working the “loving mother” angle with Nina. They’ve been bonding a bit, which Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) won’t approve of. On Tuesday, Carly will be appalled when Nina defends the enemy.
Nina will act like Nelle truly cares about Wiley, but Carly won’t think that’s possible. When Carly suggests Nelle’s won Nina over, Nina may argue that it’s not about taking sides. This is about putting Wiley first, so Nina may think it’d be better for him to know and be cared for by both parents.
Since Carly doesn’t think Nelle’s capable of caring for Wiley, she’ll be firmly against that plan. While Carly and Nina’s conflict intensifies, the same thing will happen over with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
Sam’s holding Kristina responsible for the Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) mess and all the trouble it’s led to with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Kristina will think she’s the only reason Sam and Jason are still in love. As far as Kristina’s concerned, Sam and Jason are drama magnets who use it to fuel their romance.
At Wyndemere, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) will apparently put his foot in his mouth again. Franco already irked Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) by suggesting she wasn’t a “real artist,” so he might as well offend Ava, too.
Although Franco and Ava just shared a warm embrace, the mood will turn sour before long. Ava will still be upset over her shouting match with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), so Franco really shouldn’t take it personally. It’s obvious that Ava’s in pain, so Franco’s just an easy target right now.
Nevertheless, Ava’s words will sting – especially since Franco’s already been mulling over his dark past. Franco knows he’ll never escape his terrible history, so it’ll hurt when Ava suggests he should just go back to being a psychopath. It’ll reinforce the idea that Franco will never shake that old image.
Fortunately, Ava will calm down and apologize at some point. Franco is a good friend of Ava’s, so she’ll assure him she didn’t mean any harm. General Hospital spoilers say Franco and Ava will connect over their problems, so that’ll bring some close moments on Tuesday.
Finally, Liz will think Nik’s got an easy out. Spencer Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) is demanding that Nikolas divorce Ava – at least if Nik’s looking for a father-son relationship again. Liz will think that’s Nikolas’ get-out-of-jail-free card, but Nik won’t agree. Ava would walk away with almost all of the Cassadine fortune as well as the house and Spoon Island.
Liz will get that it isn’t the ideal outcome, but this is Nikolas’ chance to make amends with Spencer. Is Nik really going to let money and property stand in the way? Nikolas won’t think he has to choose if he plays dirty and works hard enough! We’ll pass along updates as other GH news emerges.
