General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, October 16, teases that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will be on the fence about getting a divorce from Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). This is about more than the money since Ava has developed feelings for Nikolas and suspects he’s developed them as well.
After Ava confides in Julian Jerome (William deVry), he’ll be frustrated with his sister. Julian may argue that this marriage is going to end in disaster no matter what. He may wonder if Ava’s really just going to throw him to the wolves, especially when Ava’s relationship with Nikolas is far from certain.
Ava can’t really be sure of how things will pan out with Nik, but she can be sure Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will retaliate against Julian if he receives the incriminating letter. Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) won’t back down on his divorce demands, so Julian will push Ava to help him out here.
While Ava reassures Julian, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will do the same during a discussion with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Carly will be on edge after Jason and Sonny plan their next steps – most likely ones involving Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor).
Jason will spell out why this is their best strategy and hope that Carly understands, but she’ll remain fearful.
As part of Sonny’s tactic, he’ll pop in Charlie’s Pub and make a case for why Julian should accept his proposal. In fact, Sonny will basically warn Julian that he doesn’t have a choice! Julian will balk at the idea of joining forces – presumably on a plan involving Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
However, Sonny will note that Julian isn’t really in a position where he can reject this proposition.
Over with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), she’ll get a request for assistance. Nikolas will be the one who comes looking for it, so it might involve legal guidance. Alexis may not be a lawyer anymore, but she still knows her stuff.
On the other hand, Nikolas may just want someone to talk to and another opinion on his marriage drama. Sadly, Alexis may or may not be of real use to Nikolas. We can’t forget that Alexis has fallen off the wagon, so she might have trouble guiding Nik if she’s had too much to drink again.
Whatever the case, Nikolas will wind up ready to make an exchange on the pier later. He’ll hold a manila envelope and push who we can assume is Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) to take the deal now or not at all. Nikolas will vow to call the whole thing off if they don’t get this done tonight.
At GH, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will keep battling a guilty conscience, but Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) will find it pretty easy to ignore his own. Franco will think the end justifies the means and will be able to live with blackmailing to provide for their family.
It won’t be that simple for Liz, who’ll argue with Franco about why she’s not OK with this.
While Franco tries to keep Elizabeth on board, General Hospital spoilers say Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will get a startling offer. Dev Cerci aka “Dev Corbin” (Ashton Arbab) will think it’s a nice night to enjoy the lake and the stars, so he’ll push Joss to go on a little adventure with him.
GH fans know Dev recently went looking for Josslyn’s journal, so he’s undoubtedly been reading up and perhaps feels like he knows what women want now – or a least this woman!
Dev will be determined to get the girl, so he may use Joss’ innermost desires to do it. This lake trip and stargazing idea may even be something Josslyn wrote about once upon a time.
We can’t forget that Joss had a crush on Dev until he shut her down, which led to her crushing on Cameron Webber (William Lipton) instead. Dev will hope to fix the mess he created, but that’ll require duping Cameron as well. There’ll be plenty of teen trickery going on, so it’ll be fun to see all the confusion and angst.
Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) may have to resort to a trick or two as well on Friday. That may be what it takes to get Brook Lynn Quartemaine (Briana Lane) to try hashing things out with her father.
Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) has tried to make amends on more than one occasion, but Monica may think he should try harder – and she’ll expect Brook Lynn to meet her dad halfway.
Too bad Monica’s plan will crash and burn! This scheme will go wrong big time, so stay tuned to watch Monica’s good intentions cause a train wreck. We’ll give you updates as other GH news becomes available.
