General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, August 20, teases that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will gush over Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) impending bundle of joy.
Anna couldn’t be happier about Maxie’s pregnancy and the opportunity for Peter to be a father. She’ll discuss the baby news with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), but she’ll still be uneasy.
That’s because Peter’s true mother is most likely Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes). After Peter called her “Grandma,” it seemed to remind Anna of that crucial possibility. While Anna keeps mulling that over, Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) will feel like Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) deserves whatever’s coming her way.
Lulu will go on a tirade about Brook Lynn, which she’s entitled to do since Brook Lynn just kissed Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson). Dustin made it clear that he’d moved on and only considered Brook Lynn a friend, but Lulu still hates her rival’s guts.
As for Brook Lynn, she’s all set to perform despite being angry and emotional. She’s BLQ and intends to make a bold statement at this Nurses Ball telethon!
A scary situation is ahead for Brook Lynn, so she may need someone to play the hero. When Brook Lynn lands in danger, will it be Dustin who comes through for her?
That’s one option to consider, but Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) might be more likely. GH seems to be setting Brook Lynn and Chase up as a potential pairing, so Chase may swoop in and save Brook Lynn from getting hurt.
Once Chase sees Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) enjoying married life with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), his night will take a terrible turn. Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will face a terrible night of her own, so her emotional turmoil’s about to get even worse. It may not be long until Sasha’s reaching for drugs again.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will offer Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) some guidance. She’ll feel like it’d be best for Jax to avoid getting involved.
Jax may be tempted to jump in the Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) drama and protect Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) in some way. We know Jax will indeed step up for Carly next week, so that’s one option to consider.
Regardless, Nina will dish out some advice while Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) offers up some of his own. Valentin will think someone would be wise to join him, so it’ll be interesting to see who he’s facing off with this time.
As for Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Ava Cassadine (Maura West), they’ll spar backstage and get into some trouble thanks to their loose lips.
Ava and Nikolas want to activate that cheating clause to wiggle out of this marriage with the Cassadine fortune intact. That’s led to them manipulating Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst),
but Liz is probably going to catch on. After eavesdropping on Thursday, Elizabeth should have a much better idea of what Nikolas and Ava have been plotting!
Back with Valentin, he’ll hit the stage and hope he can remind Nina of their lost love. Valentin will undoubtedly sing a song that’ll melt Nina’s heart, but it shouldn’t be enough to seal the deal on a reunion.
Nevertheless, Valentin shouldn’t give up! Nina clearly isn’t over Valentin, so there’s still a chance for them to reconnect down the road.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Julian Jerome (William deVry) will wonder what Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) up to. Nelle’s been promising a big act – and she’ll allude to it on Thursday as well.
In fact, Nelle will assure Julian that this is going to be her greatest performance yet. Does Nelle have some sort of magic show planned where she’ll pull off a vanishing act?
Whatever the case, Nelle may make a huge mistake if she tips Julian off to her kidnapping plot or asks for his help with it. There’s no way Julian will let Nelle snatch Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), who used to be Julian’s adopted grandson.
This is all building to Julian’s life-altering decision on Friday, so Thursday may put all the pieces in place for Julian to make Nelle disappear – though perhaps not in the way she wants!
Until then, it looks like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will get a call about Mike Corbin (Max Gail). Some news should come in from Turning Woods, so Sonny will continue to grapple with Mike’s imminent death.
Mike may be poised to fade away during the week ahead, so stay tuned for Sonny’s tough blow. We’ll make sure you’re in the loop on all the latest GH updates.
