General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, August 26, teases that Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) will be summoned for an urgent task. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) found Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) injured following his altercation with Julian Jerome (William deVry) on the pier. However, Taggert faked his death, which means he can’t just receive treatment at GH like a typical patient.
Luckily, Epiphany was in on Taggert’s sneaky plan. It looks like that’s who Jason will call, but Epiphany will be her usual no-nonsense self on Wednesday. Epiphany will demand to know what’s going on, so Jason will probably explain his discovery on Pier 55.
Taggert should be weak, but perhaps he can offer his side of the story as well and ask Epiphany to treat his wounds.
Epiphany won’t be happy about this, but she’ll take care of Taggert when he needs her. There are no other good options right now, so Jason and Taggert will express their gratitude. Epiphany’s putting a lot on the line, so she’ll probably warn Taggert to keep himself safe from now on!
Meanwhile, Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) will continue driving and talking to Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson). Nelle’s been rather chatty with Wiley, who’s along for this wild ride in the backseat.
On Wednesday, Nelle will reflect on the sacrifices she’s making for Wiley – or at least so the Corinthos clan can’t have Wiley.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will console Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), who’ll be quite agitated and concerned. Wiley’s with a murderous mom who only cares about her own agenda, so Michael will fear their son could get hurt.
What happens if Wiley becomes a burden in Nelle’s eyes? That’s exactly what Michael will be afraid of!
Carly will agree they need to find Nelle and Wiley ASAP, but she’ll probably downplay the danger to the kid. Nelle does seem to care about Wiley on some level – and she’s not going to harm this prized possession she worked so hard to run away with.
There’s no reason to believe Nelle would hurt Wiley on purpose, but let’s be real here: Nelle has no maternal instincts or skills in the mother department. Keeping Wiley safe may become a challenge for Nelle, especially if she starts to panic.
Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will be hot on Nelle’s trail, which could leave Nelle scrambling and set her up to make dangerous mistakes.
Chase will corner that jogger who gave Nelle directions and wonder if she knows where Nelle was headed. Although Nelle didn’t offer her final destination, the jogger can confirm that she pointed Nelle toward Occidental.
She made a point to warn Nelle about going slow so she wouldn’t miss the turn. It’s clearly marked, but Nelle will be stuck driving for hours if it slips by her.
Finally, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will comfort Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) as best as she can. Sasha will be in shock over this Nelle nightmare, but she’ll assure Willow she’s there for her.
Willow and Sasha were friends before the fake affair mess, so that bond will shine through on Wednesday. Despite their issues, Willow will be grateful for the extra support.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) should be glad they’re all rallying around Willow when she needs them. The important thing is remaining calm and hoping for Wiley’s imminent return.
Of course, if Nelle crashes her car with Wiley inside or finds some other way to add to the chaos, any plans to remain calm will go right out the window!
Finally, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will verify that Nelle was behind Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Briana Lane) attack. When Sonny checks in with Brook Lynn, she’ll let him know that Nelle was indeed responsible.
Brook Lynn may not be able to verbally indicate that’s true, but Sonny will at least get a nod or a note that confirms it.
