General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is torn up over his breakup with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). Chase knew it would be hard to let Willow go, but he just wasn’t prepared for how difficult it would be to find out that Willow was marrying Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). As GH viewers know, Willow has just said “I do” to Michael at the Quartermaine mansion, and it’s now official.
Of course, the whole point of Michael and Willow getting married is to bolster Michael’s chances in the custody suit that Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) has brought against Michael.
Everyone is thinking about Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) and setting their own needs aside for the time being, which is a selfless thing for them to do for the little boy.
But surely things won’t be so simple going forward. Michael, Willow, Chase, and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) haven’t really thought clearly about what the future could hold for them.
After all, assuming that Michael does end up with custody of Wiley, then he and Willow are going to have to stay together for the foreseeable future. That could get tricky, since neither Michael or Willow will be able to just turn off their feelings for Sasha and Chase, respectively.
But could there be another complication thrown into the mix here? GH spent a lot of time on Willow and Chase talking about having kids together. Back when Willow thought that she might be pregnant, she and Chase dealt with it, but the topic has really come back around lately.
Willow and Chase seemed to make a clean break, and now Wiley is home free with his new stepmom Willow…but can it really be that easy?
The situation could get complicated really quickly if, for example, Willow finds out that she’s pregnant shortly after the wedding takes place. She’d be in the position of carrying Chase’s baby, yet she’d still think that Chase cheated on her so there would be bad blood there.
Of course, Willow would surely still want Chase to be a key part of their baby’s life, but she’d probably be content to remain married to Michael.
But from Chase’s perspective, things wouldn’t be so simple. Chase would be well-aware that he never really cheated on Willow, and he’d surely want the chance to be with Willow and raise their baby together.
At that point, he’d have to consider what’s best for Wiley vis a vie what’s best for his own child. And with his own child’s future at stake, Chase would probably be really motivated to tell Willow the truth – that he didn’t really cheat on her with Sasha.
We’ll see what happens here, but if there was ever a time for a Willow pregnancy, it seems like now would be the time. It would certainly be a wrinkle in the plan to protect Wiley.
