General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, December 23, tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will have to halt their search for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and head home.
Carly would rather keep looking for Sonny, but she’ll need to return to her family for Christmas Eve. It’s clear that Jason and Carly aren’t going to find Sonny, so they might as well head back.
Although Carly will cling to hope that Sonny’s alive, she’ll definitely battle some worries. On the bright side, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will have a little Christmas surprise waiting for Carly when she returns with Jason.
It turns out Josslyn and Michael have been busy putting up some last-minute holiday decorations – just to make the house a bit more festive.
Carly will do her best to put on a smile and hide how terrified she is about Sonny’s fate. As for Michael, he’ll do something that catches Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) off guard in Wednesday’s GH episode.
That could mean Lucas will get some bonding time with his former adoptive son, Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).
Lucas was happily raising Wiley before the baby switch truth came out. Sadly, Lucas had to give Wiley up and hasn’t seen him all that much since then. Michael might resolve to change that on this Christmas Eve. If Lucas has a chance to reconnect with Wiley, that’d be the best gift he could possibly imagine.
Of course, we should also consider the possibility that Michael will get updates on Julian Jerome’s (William deVry) death. It’s possible Michael will find out from Jason and break the news to Lucas soon after.
Maybe Lucas could even get the pleasant surprise of Wiley bonding AND the Julian death shocker. Christmas Eve is sure to be a complicated one for many Port Charles residents!
That certainly goes for Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry), who are set to host a Christmas eve gathering in their home.
It’ll be a small get-together since it looks like TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) and Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) will be the only guests. However, that’ll be plenty since Jordan and Curtis aren’t on great terms right now. The only reason they’ll probably even have this small party is so they don’t disappoint Molly and TJ.
It seems likely Jordan and Curtis’ tension will be on full display, so that may create suspicions and questions for TJ and Molly. They might find out Jordan lied about Marcus Taggert’s (Asante Jones) faked death, so that could intensify Molly’s guilt over her own cover-up.
Just seeing the destruction Jordan’s deception caused could make Molly wonder if she should come clean about her one-night stand with Brand Corbin (Johnny Wactor).
As for Brando, he’ll be busy clashing with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). Brando will fret over Sasha being stuck on revenge, so he may warn she’s a dead woman if she pushes Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) too far.
Sasha won’t like Brando meddling in her business, so she’ll unleash her fury in Wednesday’s GH episode. Brando will face quite an outburst, but he won’t stop trying to help keep Sasha safe.
Back with Curtis, he’ll receive some guidance from Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Despite Portia’s anger over how everything played out with Jordan and Taggert, she may think Curtis should forgive Jordan.
It’s not like Jordan’s secret came from a mean-spirited place. Jordan will want to make things right, so Portia might suggest Curtis should let her. Perhaps that could lead to Curtis softening toward Jordan just in time for Christmas.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) will have a sweet holiday together, but Maxie will definitely miss loved ones who can’t be there. She’ll always miss Nathan during Christmas, but it’s Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) who may be mostly on Maxie’s mind.
General Hospital spoilers say Maxie will find a way to honor someone special who can’t be present, so what does that mean? Could Maxie pick out a name for her baby that somehow ties in with Lulu? It could be something related to Lulu’s name, a flower she likes or anything really.
The point is Maxie and Peter will settle on a name for their little on in the following new episode, so Wednesday’s show might set that up. Finally, let’s bring it back to Sonny and his whereabouts.
Could GH fans get a glimpse of Sonny injured and unconscious somewhere? It’s easy to imagine that being part of some montage where Carly looks out a window and wonders where her beloved husband is!
