General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans saw a different side of Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) during his time at Florence Grey’s (Anna Collings) room at her long-term care facility. Cyrus just wants his mother’s love and respect after all these years. He wants Florence to see him as a man of importance – someone who’s really made something of himself.
Cyrus is clearly heartbroken over the way he’s been rejected, especially since he claims what happened to his father, Gordon Grey, was an accident. It’s easy to see where things went so horribly wrong for Cyrus and why he’s still making poor choices.
Many GH fans are actually feeling a little sorry for Cyrus at this point, which is the sign of a great actor! Jeff Kober is doing some fantastic work in the role.
Sadly, Florence may never give Cyrus the acknowledgement he’s looking for. Cyrus may not get the love he wants from his mother, but he might find it in a new romantic partner.
Since Cyrus has now been established as part of a GH family and has plenty of connections in town, he’s not going anywhere anytime soon. General Hospital writers should go ahead and give Cyrus a love interest.
We can think of one match that might be good, especially since it’d bring major drama and make a bigger mess for Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). What happens if Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) makes her way back to Port Charles and falls for Cyrus?
Liesl needs love in her life as well – and not a fake romance like she had with Dr. Warren Kirk (Jamison Jones).
Naturally, that doesn’t mean it’d start off as the purest of love stories. Obrecht and Cyrus might become allies first. They could use each other only to realize there’s a spark there that can’t be denied.
Liesl is one of the few people on General Hospital who could accept and even embrace Cyrus’ dangerous lifestyle. Likewise, Cyrus might be impressed by the horrible things Liesl’s done in the past. Perhaps both Cyrus and Liesl could feel like they’ve found someone on the same level.
This would be an excellent strategy to complicate the situation for Britt and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Britt might be torn about sinking Cyrus if it meant her own mother might go down with the ship!
Having Liesl too close to all the mayhem could only make matters worse. We’ll bring you up to speed as other GH news and updates emerge.
