General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, September 2 Recap - Alex Reaches Out To Anna - Mike’s Breakthrough - Chase Lets Willow Go

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 2, reveal that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) met with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) in the Metro Court lobby. Anna gushed about having a dinner party to celebrate Maxie’s pregnancy, and from a distance, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) lurked.

After Peter and Maxie took off, Anna looked worried, and Robert noticed her expression. Robert said that he was off to Holly Sutton’s (Emma Samms) memorial soon, and Anna hoped that gave Robert closure.

The conversation quickly turned into an argument about Peter, with Robert insisting that Peter murdered Drew Cain (Billy Miller). Ultimately, Robert told Anna that she could avoid the truth or step up and face it.

Robert and Anna left things on bad terms, and after Robert left, Anna got a call from an unknown number. It was Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes), who said, “Hello, sister.” Anna looked stunned.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) told Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) that she had to leave today to go see Dante Falconeri (Dominick Zamprogna).

Ned thought that Olivia should stay because of Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Briana Lane) recent attack, but Olivia argued that she only had a small window of time to get into see Dante.

After considerable arguing about the matter, Olivia yelled at Ned that he might think it’s ok to throw his own daughter out, but that she’d never abandon her children. Later, Robert showed up to pick up Olivia, and Olivia snippily told Ned that she’d call him when she got to Geneva.

At the coffeehouse, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) told Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) that he was going to tell Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) the truth about their “affair.”

Sasha thought that Chase was out of his mind, and that you can’t just “un give up” someone you love. Chase disagreed, saying that Willow loved him, and he left to go talk with Willow.

At the hospital, Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) and Dustin Philips (Mark Lawson) entered Brook Lynn’s room. Brook Lynn used her tablet to communicate, telling Lulu and Dustin to go. Lulu tried to reach out, saying that she knows the terror of being stabbed and left to die. It was all pretty awkward, and Lulu and Dustin left.

Sasha then arrived to see Brook Lynn, wanting to talk about Chase. Brook Lynn seemed confused, but Sasha went on, saying that Chase was a great guy and that he shouldn’t be held responsible for their affair.

Brook Lynn gestured, to ask if Sasha and Chase were an item, and Sasha said that Chase was a great guy, but that he was not the guy for her.

Back at the coffeehouse, Lulu and Dustin met Maxie and Peter. After some talk about Brook Lynn’s plight, talk turned to Maxie’s pregnancy, and everyone agreed that Peter would be a terrific dad.

At the horse track, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), Mike Corbin (Max Gail), and Felix DuBois (Marc Samuel) entered the sables. Mike was in his wheelchair and smiling big as they approached the horses.

While Felix and Mike went to look at some horses, Carly told Sonny that she was initially scared when he said that he wanted to bring Mike to the track. But Carly saw how happy it made Mike, and so did Sonny.

While Felix and Carly went to the concession stand, Sonny and Mike spent some time with one of the horses. Mike stood up out of his wheelchair, and although he was a little wobbly, he walked over to the horse and nuzzled its nose.

Mike then put his hand on his heart and said, “Thank you, son,” and he kissed Sonny on the cheek. Sonny was truly touched.

Sonny said that they’d go look at the other horses and decide how to bet. “Shoot the moon,” Mike said with a smile. Sonny teared up, as father and son shared a true moment together. Later, Felix and Mike fed carrots to the horses, and they all headed out to the races together.

In the park, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow sat on a blanket while Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) played with the nanny across the way.

Willow didn’t think that things could get better, but Michael said that they might. “I want you to adopt Wiley,” Michael told Willow. After making sure that Michael wasn’t doing this to pay her back, Willow agreed happily.

Willow and Michael talked some more, and as they did, Chase happened upon the scene and lurked in the trees. Chase heard Willow and Michael talking about their kiss.

Willow said that she didn’t regret the kiss, but that she didn’t want to rush into things and mess this up. Willow also said that nothing was more important than giving Wiley a stable, loving family.

Chase took off, and Willow and Michal continued talking about growing as a family, then Willow supported Michael after he got a text from Carly about Mike being at the track with her and Sonny.

Willow expressed concern for how Michael was doing with his grandfather’s demise, and Michael told Willow about how Mike abandoned Sonny and Sonny’s mom.

Michael said that he was committed not to squander Wiley’s childhood, and that he’s committed to giving Wiley the best life possible. Michael took Willow’s hands, and she said that sounded like a plan.

Back at the hospital, Chase arrived to see Brook Lynn. Brook Lynn was a little testy with him, and then Chase expressed his thanks for Brook Lynn’s role in saving Wiley. Brook Lynn typed “Free pass the next time you want to arrest me?” on her tablet. Chase told Brook Lynn just to get better, and he took off.

Chase found Sasha near the elevators, and he told her that she was right earlier – it was too late to take their lie back. Sasha said that she was sorry, and that the worst part was that accepting reality doesn’t make it hurt any less. Sasha got on the elevator, and the doors closed.
