General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that viewers are in for a week of hard truths and tough decisions on the ABC soap. The new GH promo for the week of April 13th addresses two key storylines – one involving a daughter acting out, and the other involving the race to win a critical custody case. There’s a lot at stake this week on GH, so let’s get right to the action!
First off, the new GH promo shows Laura Collins (Genie Francis) having a sit-down with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). These two never really hit it off when they talk, and this time should be no different, especially since the topic of conversation is going to be Valentin’s daughter, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).
It looks like Laura is going to come to Valentin with some concerns about Charlotte’s recent behavior. Perhaps Laura will get wind of what happened at Kelly’s between Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and Charlotte.
As GH viewers will remember, Charlotte seemed to trip Jax as he was on his way from fetching a pastry. Jax chalked the whole thing up to being an accident, but Charlotte seemed to be a little too amused.
And that’s not the first time that Charlotte has acted out. GH viewers will remember that Charlotte defaced a photograph of Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) earlier this year in the Crimson office, and she drew a pink mustache onto Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) sketch of Ava Jerome (Maura West) at Kelly’s, too.
It seems that Charlotte is harboring a lot of ill feelings about the breakup between her papa and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), and she’s been acting out in manipulative ad destructive ways. Laura probably doesn’t know about all of Charlotte’s behavior, but it looks like she’ll know enough to be troubled and bring it up to Valentin.
Laura is shown in the GH promo telling Valentin, “I believe that you love Charlotte, but I don’t believe that you’re good for her.” We can’t imagine that Valentin will take well to that opinion of Laura’s, but she might explain what’s been going on with Charlotte, and how Charlotte is picking up on Valentin’s manipulative tendencies.
We’ll see if Valentin ends up taking Laura’s concerns seriously. He might just brush it off, thinking that Laura is simply against him. But if Charlotte keeps on acting out, then it’s probably going to become apparent to Valentin that something’s going on with his beloved little girl, and he might have to step in and act like a parent, rather than his daughter’s admirer!
Next, the new GH promo addresses the custody situation surrounding Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson). It appears that Sasha will be back on her mission to see to it that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) marries Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) in order to bolster his chances in the custody case against Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier).
Sasha is shown in the promo telling Michael that this has everything to do with Wiley, as Michael laments that his chances of winning full custody is slightly better than 50%.
To that, Sasha quips, “Unless you marry Willow.” It seems that Diane Miller’s (Carolyn Hennesy) advice will be that a quick marriage to Willow will improve Michael’s chances at winning Wiley significantly.
Of course, if Michael does ultimately marry Willow, then someone is going to be very unhappy…and that’s Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), who’s very much in love with Willow.
In fact, Willow and Chase seem to be at the point in their relationship where they should be talking about marriage, not about Willow marrying someone else as a ploy!
We’ll see what happens here, but it looks like the pressure will be on for Michael this week to get married to the “perfect woman” to increase his chances of getting custody of Wiley. Could we see a Michael & Willow wedding by the end of the week?
It looks like we’re in for an exciting week on the ABC soap, so stay tuned! We’ll be sure to give you updates as more GH news comes in. Don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest General Hospital recaps and spoilers.
