General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) so-called death remains highly suspicious. Why is GH so reluctant to show us Nelle’s cold body in the morgue? Why not offer the proof and put any doubts about Nelle’s demise to rest?
It’s probably because they fully intend to bring Nelle back down the road and don’t want that onscreen evidence!
Even so, Nelle’s believed to be dead – and that means she had to have some help. There’s a good chance this body that’s been positively identified as Nelle’s isn’t really hers at all. Nelle’s death was likely faked, but who helped her pull this off? Here are four shocking options to consider.
1) General Hospital Spoilers – Back-from-the-Dead Shiloh
Shiloh Archer’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) name has been coming up a bit more lately – and he was Nelle’s powerful husband. If Shiloh faked his death, then he could’ve pulled some strings and helped Nelle do the same.
Nelle and Shiloh may not have been in love, but it seemed like there was a certain level of respect between them since they were both manipulators at their core.
Perhaps General Hospital will eventually offer a double shocker and reveal that both Shiloh and Nelle are alive. Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) was supposedly going to see Nelle’s body at the morgue, but there are ways around that.
If a close enough match was swapped in with facial injuries allegedly from river rocks, Chase might’ve been fooled.
2) General Hospital Spoilers – One of Shiloh’s faithful DoD followers
There’s also a chance that a new character is helping Nelle – someone we haven’t met but who knew Nelle as Shiloh’s widow. GH fans know Shiloh had plenty of faithful DoD followers, so one of them might’ve pitched in on this.
It might even be several Dawnies working together if people like the coroner and medical examiner were also Dawn of Day supporters.
3) General Hospital Spoilers -Valentin Cassadine
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was tangled up in Nelle’s story and knew she posed a threat to Peter August (Wes Ramsey) if she returned. We can’t rule out the idea that Valentin took care of this somehow for Peter’s sake.
If Valentin helped fake Nelle’s death, that could certainly offer a huge twist once Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) finds out Nelle is her biological daughter.
4) General Hospital Spoilers – Peter August
Peter is another candidate who might’ve made it look like Nelle was deceased. Nelle may not have even known this was going on! Peter definitely wanted Nelle to stay out of the picture, so maybe he took steps to make sure that would happen – and hoped Nelle would have the good sense to keep her freedom elsewhere. It’d be better than the cops still thinking Nelle was still on the loose.
Bottom line, the circumstances of Nelle’s demise can’t be trusted. This has faked death written all over it, so it’s just a matter of who helped Nelle and why.
