General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will face more challenges in the months ahead. For starters, they’ll have to keep presenting a united front against Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier). No matter the outcome of this custody battle, Willow and Michael’s biggest problem isn’t going away anytime soon.
If Nelle wins full or joint custody, Michael and Nelle will work to overturn that decision. They’ll also have to deal with Nelle in the meantime, so that’ll certainly take patience and teamwork. Even a loss for Nelle wouldn’t remove her from the picture.
We all know Nelle would keep fighting to get Wiley back, but she’d be plotting Willow and Michael’s misery until then.
However, the most likely option seems to be shared custody, which could lead to another war before Wiley’s next surgery. Wiley’s last one made him more comfortable, but Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) mentioned a follow-up operation.
Wiley still needs a device implanted to stimulate tissue growth and help repair all the weaknesses in his heart wall.
General Hospital spoilers say major issues could be brewing due to this second surgery. Even getting Nelle to agree to it could be tough. Nelle tried to put her foot down last time and got locked on the GH roof by Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
Nelle’s signature was also forged, but Carly can’t get by with a scheme like that again.
In addition to the usual paperwork, Nelle has demanded that her verbal consent be required – just in case Carly tries to pull anything else! It may not be as easy to shut Nelle out of the decision-making process this time around.
If Nelle has joint custody with Michael, she may put up a fight just to be stubborn. Nelle definitely won’t want Michael and Willow to feel like they’re in charge here.
Perhaps Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) could pitch in and help Nelle see that this surgery is what’s best for Wiley. That’s especially true if Nina knows she’s Nelle’s biological mother at that point. It’ll make Nina even more determined to put Nelle on a better path and leave this mom caught in the middle.
Regardless, Michael and Willow’s concerns about the second surgery are warranted. You can probably count on Nelle to cause trouble one way or another! We’ll deliver updates as other GH news rolls in.
