General Hospital Spoilers: Would Drew Cain Work Better as a Bad Boy – Billy Miller Return Needs Edge, Depth & Clear Direction?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that there’s always hope for Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) return to Port Charles. Without firm proof of Drew’s death, there’s certainly a chance Drew survived. Of course, it wouldn’t matter even if there were evidence of Drew’s demise! The truth is soaps bring back characters whenever they want to. How they do it doesn’t really matter.

GH fans will recall how wild that twin memory-mapping story was, but it got the job done. The explanation allowed Steve Burton to reprise the role of Jason Morgan, but it also meant Billy Miller’s character got cast aside. Once fake Jason became Drew, he was given very little to do.

Drew had some good scenes leading up to and following Oscar Nero Quartermaine’s (Garren Stitt) death, but that was about it. After Drew’s marriage to Sam ended, he wasn’t given a solid love interest option. Drew was just kind of…there. It’s no wonder Drew was written out when they weren’t using him for anything important.

However, that could change if General Hospital decides to bring Drew back – whether that’s in the form of Billy Miller or a recast. If GH does decide to let Drew return down the road, so changes would be a good idea.

Drew needs some good love interest possibilities along with his memories to make him a fully formed character. He can’t just stand around looking glum.

When Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) had Drew’s memories, he had an edge. Drew was confident and even a bit of a jerk at times. General Hospital shouldn’t take that idea too far, but it might be fun if Drew returns with his memories and more swagger.

Drew might be ready to make Peter August (Wes Ramsey) pay and reclaim the role of dad in Scout Cain’s (Ella Ramacieri) life. That could lead to some battles both with Peter and Jason.

Drew might work better as a bad boy in a way. Naturally, Drew would still have a good heart, but he could come back with some scores to settle and a chip on his shoulder. A rebel with a cause!

Anything that would give Drew some depth seems like a good thing. If GH could convince Miller to make a comeback, he’d no doubt nail a tougher, slightly darker Drew. It’d be reasonable to see those changes in Drew after the nightmare ordeal he’s surely been through.

Do you think Drew would work better as a bad boy? Should GH revamp the character and give Drew a clear sense of direction? As other news and updates emerge, we’ll provide more details.
