General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) has some tough moments ahead thanks to Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) sinister behavior. Peter’s keeping dark secrets that’ll inevitably come back to haunt him. Once that finally happens, Maxie’s world will crash down around her. Who will pick up the pieces of Maxie’s broken heart?
Of course, Maxie’s going to need time to heal first. She’s also pregnant, so that adds another complicated layer. GH may let Maxie focus on her baby after the truth about Peter comes out. Dating’s probably going to be the last thing on Maxie’s mind, but it never hurts to start thinking about the future.
After all, Maxie’s heart will mend sooner or later. Although Maxie may battle trust issues for quite some time, we have no doubt that Maxie can find love again after Peter.
Who could be Maxie’s next love interest? There are plenty of hunks on canvas who could land in Maxie’s orbit and get to know her a bit better. However, let’s consider someone in particular who might be an interesting choice.
When Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) came on the scene, he took Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) place as a detective at the PCPD. At the time, many fans felt like Swickard could’ve easily just played a Nathan recast.
Chase and Nathan have always been similar characters – the handsome good guys who fight for what’s right and protect the people they love.
Could Maxie fall for Chase down the road? It’s an option worth mulling over since Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) are married now.
Michael and Willow seem poised to build a happy family with Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson). What if Chase built one of his own with Maxie, James West (Caleb and Kyler Ends) and the new baby?
Chase would make a great dad, so maybe General Hospital should throw him into this complex situation. Could you see Chase and Maxie as a couple at some point? It’s not something that would happen anytime soon, but it can’t be ruled out after Peter’s exposure and Maxie’s heartbreak.
