Prince Charles Special Message To Teachers & Parents - Praises Homeschooling During Coronavirus Lockdown

British royals news reveals that Prince Charles recently gave a moving video message praising teachers in their efforts during the coronavirus lockdown. Charles made the video for the Teach First charity and recorded his message from his Birkhall residence in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

During the video, which was prefaced “Prince Charles Thanks Teachers,” Prince Charles praised not only teachers, but parents who have been doing their best to homeschool their children during the lockdown period, sometimes without computers or internet access.

Prince Charles stated: “While recent times have been incredibly difficult for us all, I can only begin to imagine how challenging it has been for young people and families to adapt. In particular, I am thinking of those families who simply do not have the resources, such as online devices, or even the internet, that are needed for effective homeschooling.”

Charles continued: “Parents have done an astonishing job in such trying circumstances and to see teachers and schools going above and beyond for their pupils in response to this pandemic has been, in many instances, quite remarkable.”

Finally, Charles said: “From finding creative ways to teach lessons remotely, and even making sure the most vulnerable children do not go without meals, we all owe them a huge debt of gratitude.”

This comes as Prince William and Kate Middleton have recently spoken about the issues they’ve had homeschooling their own children. Prince William and Kate Middleton have three children: Prince George, Prince Charlotte, and Prince Louis, the first two of which are school-aged.

Interestingly, during a conversation with an organization called Conscious Youth last week, Prince William stated that some of Prince George’s schoolwork had become a challenge to help teach at home. “I struggle with year 2 maths,” William said.

Of course, that’s a sentiment that many parents who are homeschooling right now can sympathize with. It is certainly a unique time for families, who are likely grateful to get such high praise from the future king. Stick with CDL and kept us bookmarked for all your British royals news and updates.
