Tonight, it is Jojo Fletcher’s incredible season of The Bachelorette, back to 2016. Chris H. is back at his desk at home, with his son doing the filming solo.
Wells Adams and his fiancé Sarah Hyland join Chris via video from home. They two are going to stick around for the show.
Here are some of Jojo’s men; Grant is a Firefighter and he is really excited to meet Jojo. Alex is a U.S. Marine, he can see himself falling in love with Jojo. Jordan is a pro football player. Luke is a War Veteran and a country boy ready for love. Evan helps men with erectile dysfunction and he is excited to meet Jojo.
Chris H. welcomes Jojo to the mansion. Derek is a Commercial Banker and he is the first man out of the limos. Jordan is second, he goes in for a big hug. Robbie brings champagne. Evan looks at Jojo and says God bless America. Luke shows up on a unicorn. Wells brings the singers All For One and they serenade Jojo. Inside the mansion, the men feel the pressure of competition. Jojo sits with Luke, he has a nice accent and she has instant chemistry towards his quiet sexy confidence. Chase is amazing, and someone Jojo could spend the rest of her life with. Jordan is nervous, she tells him to chill out, then gets the first kiss. Daniel pokes Evan in the belly button, Evan says it could be a Canadian greeting. Chad thinks some guys signed up because they couldn’t meet girls. Daniel decides to take off his clothes, he moves the couch outside and jumps in the pool. James S. says the night is complete. It’s awkward, Daniel is wearing tiny bikini briefs.
Back to Sarah and Wells. Sarah loves Wells on the show, she says he looks good. Wells says he was sure he was getting the first impression rose but he didn’t.
Chase from the start is someone who caught Jojo’s eye, they go on a date and do yoga together. Everything about the tantrum exercise is awkward and Jojo says it is very awkward, she is very embarrassed. Although Chase is very chiseled, and she doesn’t mind looking at him with his shirt off.
For being so uncomfortable, Chase and Jojo share a kiss when she is straddled to him in a yoga pose.
A firetruck pulls up to the house, and Jojo gets out to put out a fire, a limo is on fire. She takes a handful of men on a group date, including Wells, who looks like he is going to pass out. They have to take all the firefighter gear off Wills because he looked like he was going to faint. He cools down and drinks some water, it gives him some extra time with Jojo. Later that evening Jojo tells him that she was impressed that he did not give up and he gets the rose for the group date. She really likes Wells, but she is not sure if there is that physical connection. It’s time for Wells to have a date with Jojo, the men joke around and ask if he is going to kiss her. All of them notice how nervous Wells was leaving with Jojo. On their date, its dark, there is water and they are moving, and the two have their first kiss.
Back to Wells and Sarah, Chris H. asks if they are still engaged!
Chad Johnson just might be the most controversial person in Bachelor history. The guys are singing, and having fun, while Chad kind of stays on his own. Chad believes that he is ready to take care of Jojo, and the other guys are a parade of losers. During a group date, Chad calls Jojo naggy and may have just sealed his own fate. Later that evening, Chad pulls Jojo to him and lands a kiss, but it didn’t seem romantic. He does it while she is on her way to the mansion and the other guys are upset that he stole that time with her before she even arrived. Alex and Chad get into it outside and Chad threatens to hit him.
Chad and Alex get into a staring contest into the house, the other guys look so uncomfortable. Evan really hopes that Jojo sees Chad for who he is. During a group date, Evan was making jokes on stage and implied that Chad is taking steroids. When Evan goes to sit down, Chad grabs Evan’s shirt from the back of his neck and rips it. When the performance is over, Chad pushes Evan from the neck and tells him he is going to freaking die if he doesn’t shut up. The other men tell Chad to calm down. Evan says they were just trying to have a good time it was stand up comedy and everyone is trying to have a good time. Jordan thinks someone needs to get Chad out of there before someone gets hurt. Evan is very upset that Chad became physically aggressive and goes to speak to Chris H.
Chris H. asks Chad to go outside to talk to him, he tells him that it has been brought to his attention that there has been violence. Chris H. says there is a line drawn where there is violence. Chad says he is going cut everyone’s legs off, arms off, and there are going to be torsos and he is going to through them in the pool.
Chris H. has put bodyguards close to the men to keep a close eye on them. Alex thinks it speaks volumes that they need security guards to protect them from Chad.
It all comes to a head on a two-on-one date, Jojo has invited Chad and Alex, and it’s a showdown. Alex gets some alone time with Jojo and tells her that Chad told Jordan before their date, that he will find him after the show and beat his butt. Jojo has been so conflicted with Chad, but she can’t believe the things that she has heard about him. Then Chad gets his alone time with Jojo and she confronts him on the things that he has said and done to the other men. She says she is disappointed that he would threaten to hurt people, then he says, then they will be quiet.
Chad goes back to Alex and tells him that he is disappointed with him and it is unfortunate he can’t hurt him right now without getting in trouble. Jojo sits down with the men, she asks Chad if he threatened any of the men. She turns around to him, tells him that he is not the person she hoped he would be, and physical violence doesn’t solve anything. Jojo gives her rose to Alex and says goodbye to Chad. Chad just gets up and walks off, Jojo hugs Alex and takes his hand, they walk off. Back at the mansion, Chad’s bag is picked up, the men all cheer.
The men think Chad is gone, and they take his protein powder and spread the ashes all over outside. Later, Chad as it the mansion door.
Wells and Evan are live from their respective homes to speak to Chris H. Evan say that he became a target quickly with Chad. Wells says there were two camps, the stay away from Chad and the Evan way, poke the Chad bear. Wells goes on to say when they moved Chad’s protein powder and he found out, that is when he was afraid for everyone’s safety. Evan says without Chad he would not have made it to Paradise and he met Carly there and is now a better person. Evan and Carly have two children together, Chris H. married them in Paradise.
Derek felt an immediate connection with Jojo, and he made a great first impression with her. When they lock eyes, there are fireworks. In the end, Derek goes on a two-on-one date and Jojo sends him home. Walking Derek out was one of the saddest things Jojo has ever done. He didn’t think it was going to happen, he had confidence. Derek is so sad, when he is in the limo, he starts crying.
Derek joins Chris H. from his parent’s home via video. He says he had a hard time watching that, seeing himself cry so much. He thanks him for being on the show, Derek says it was one of the best times of his life.
Luke caught Jojo’s eye from the beginning, he is beautiful but also a country boy. He is the guy that she had undeniable chemistry with. Luke brought her to his home town and he just loved seeing that side of her. Every time he is with her, he wants to see that future with her. In the end, Jojo sends Luke home and breaks his heart. The guy was clearly in shock, Jojo is crying, he is just so shocked that he says sorry to her. He can’t even process this, he feels like someone who gets hit by a train. He was in love with her, but he never had the chance to love her and that is what hurt the most.
Luke joins Chris H. from his home via video. Luke says he thought the chemistry was there, and he believes he should have told her that he loved her. He lives in Nashville and uses music to give veterans therapy. Luke says that he is still single and looking for love. Chris H. tells him that he should join Paradise Island.
Chase is falling in love with Jojo and trying to open up to her. He tells her that he grew up in a divorced home and it was nasty, involved lawyers. He tells her during the fantasy suite date that he is in love with her and has never said that to anyone before. Sadly, Jojo is not feeling the same way. She tells him that she is not feeling the same way and she doesn’t think that spending the evening together would be fair at this point. Chase gets up and goes to leave. Jojo is crying and says she didn’t want to hurt him, but she is just not at the same place as he is right now. Chase compares it to pulling your pants down and getting kicked in the privates.
It’s time for our Bachelor in quarantine checkup. We head to Florida to see how Tyler is doing, he joins us from home via video. Chris tells Tyler that he is loved in the Bachelor nation. Tyler knows the new bachelor, Matt James, his best friend. Tyler tells him that Matt eats a lot of food and works out a lot. Matt joins them, he says that his mom was really excited and the grandkid counter started for his mom. His phone has rung off the hook, the most interesting text he got was from his third-grade teacher. Chris H. asks Tyler what kind of woman are they looking for, for Matt. Tyler says someone that can change the world with Matt.
Jojo’s relationship with Robbie has been growing, she has a schoolgirl crush on him and every day is a surprise. He makes her feel alive, and there is a way that he looks at her that makes her feel confident about their relationship. He tells her that he loves her during dinner, and he is not going to hide it. He is was the first guy on the show to tell her that he loves her. Jojo tells Robbie that she loves him too.
From the moment that Jojo met Jordan, she was instantly attracted to him. Jojo is everything to Jordan, their attraction, and how she makes him want to be a better person. He tells her that he is falling in love with her and he wants to do life with her. Chad tells her that he has a feeling that he never had before when he is with her. And, he really truly thinks that he is a better person when he is around her. When he thinks about his wedding day, he thinks about her. Jojo loves Jordan as well, but she is conflicted, she loves both men and now knows how Ben felt.
Chad believes that he will be engaged to Jojo at the end of the day, he is really confident. He tells her that his future longs for her, his family loves her, and it is a love that you only hear about in fairy tales. He calls her his best friend and says he will love her to the end of time. She tells him that she wanted it to be him, she fell in love with him, but for some reason, her heart is somewhere else. She walks him out and just keeps saying that she is sorry. She tells him that she hopes she is not making a huge mistake, she hugs him, he tells her he has to go and good luck. Chad leaves confused, she loves him and she wouldn’t let him get down on one knee, how strange is that.
Jordan meets Jojo on the beach. He says it took everything in him not to run down those stairs. He fell in love first with us, then she made him believe that love didn’t have to have scripts, and he knows that he is so in love with her, he will keep her safe, he is her best friend. She tells him that she loves him so much, and she has been waiting to tell him that she loves him. Jordan gets down on one knee and proposes to Jojo.
We get to see what Jojo and Jordan are up to now, they are live from their home. Jojo says they have just moved into their new home. Jojo says she had a great group of guys and had the best time of her life. Jojo says in the first year they had a lot of problems, but they choose to stay together and are better for it. Jordan says that marriage and kids are all ahead for them.
Jojo’s parents bring out a wedding cake, from the Bachelor nation because they had to push their wedding to 2021 because of COVID-19.
