As devoted B&B fans know, Brooke has often been married and has been married more than once to two different men. However, there have also been periods where she’s chosen to live life on her own.
In the hopefully not too distant future, when fans see new episodes again, Lang’s iconic character should take the single path. Doing so, at this point in her life and in consideration of her current circumstances, would allow Brooke to gain a renewed perspective – that of a single strong woman.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Eric Forrester Is An Option
Longtime viewers recall that Eric Forrester (John McCook) was Brooke’s first husband. She and Eric have retained a special bond that includes their children. So, it’s reasonable to believe that she might seek consolation with him if Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) doesn’t agree to a full reconciliation.
Eric’s forgiving nature is legendary. But he’s recently told Brooke that he loves Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) and will not divorce her.
The above declaration happened before Quinn exposed Brooke’s kiss with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) at the cabin. Yet, Eric’s nature and Quinn’s resilience appears to make McCook’s character someone who might not be available to renew a marital relationship with Brooke.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Many Pairings With Ridge Forrester
Marrying someone a second time, as Brooke did with Eric, represents a rediscovery of love and recognition of healing. But how would fans classify Brooke and Ridge’s (as played by Kaye and Ronn Moss before him) connection considering that they are on their seventh marriage?
There’s no doubt that Ridge is her greatest love and that both people will care about each other for their entire lives. However, they know that their reconciliation pattern feeds off itself.
Knowing that Bridge can break up, while feeling that an eventual reunion will eventually happen, surely isn’t a healthy outlook for either party. It feels as though Ridge’s growing interest in Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) will impact Brooke’s decision, not just her husband’s, as to whether Bridge persists.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Creating A Fresh Storyline
Lang has been part of B&B’s cast since 1987. She ranks with McCook as the only other current cast member to be with the show since its debut year.
It’s fair for any viewer with a knowledge of B&B’s history to say that writing Brooke to single status wouldn’t be new. But Brooke’s past periods of being on her own happened approximately four years ago in real time, with soap opera calendars being inexact.
Lang has strongly embodied her character for over three decades. She surely has the chops so inject a fresh perspective into whatever arc she’ll be given. So, having Brooke step away from relationship drama and become involved in something different for awhile, if not necessarily forever, would seem to be wise.
