The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Denise Richards is speaking out about something that viewers have even wondering about for a while now. Before B&B ran out of new episodes, some big developments were occurring on the show. There was, of course, the big cliffhanger with Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) coming home right after Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) was knocked unconscious at the beach house.
And Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) had just been intercepted in Las Vegas by Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) after he spent a wild night on the Vegas strip with Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards). Ridge woke up the next morning back home with little memory of how he got there. And it was made quite clear to viewers that Ridge didn’t remember what he did with Shauna the night before.
As B&B viewers will remember, Shauna and Ridge talked by phone the next day, with Shauna asking Ridge if he remembered anything that transpired the evening before. Ridge said no, and then Shauna promptly told him goodbye and that they couldn’t see each other again. That seemed like it could be the end for Ridge and Shauna, but surely there will be more to this story.
And according to Denise Richards, it seems that a LOT happened between Ridge and Shauna on that evening that Ridge doesn’t remember. Viewers will remember that when Ridge and Shauna were shown hitting the town in Vegas – which was basically Ridge and Shauna drinking and superimposed on a Las Vegas backdrop – they were shown for a few seconds in front of a wedding chapel.
Well, Denise Richards has recently stated that Shauna got married, which seems to confirm that Ridge and Shauna did indeed get married at a wedding chapel in Vegas that night. Now, whether that marriage is valid is another matter, but we should note that Denise clearly stated in a recent interview with People TV that her character has just gotten married.
The interview snippet, which you can watch below, shows Denise answering questions about what’s going to happen when B&B gets back to filming, and she responds by saying: “Well, when the show will be returning, I don’t know. I haven’t shot anything with the show since people have seen, uh, people have seen my character got married. I’ve gotten about 10 script since then, there’s some exciting stuff coming up.”
The interviewer then asks if Denise can give fans a little hint. Denise replies: “Shauna Is very happy.” And that leads us to wonder if perhaps Shauna and Ridge’s wedding chapel nuptials were perhaps legally binding. Could Ridge have had time to file his divorce papers before that Vegas trip happened?
If he did, then there’s a chance that Ridge and Shauna could be legally married. And that would certainly comport with Denise saying that Shauna is “very happy.” Of course, if Shauna is indeed Mrs. Ridge Forrester at this point, she might not be willing to let it go, and that would infuriate Brooke, making for some great drama.
We’ll see what happens when the show returns, but we think there’s a good chance that Brooke – who thinks she won by getting Ridge back from Vegas and away from Shauna – will have another thing coming!
