The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that many fans are holding out hope that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will truly move on from Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). “Steam” was a popular duo once upon a time, and they still have lots of supporters out there. However, other Steffy and Liam lovers have gotten off the “Steam” train after too many breakups and betrayals.
B&B viewers would like to see Steffy get with a new man – someone kind, handsome and willing to put her first. That could certainly happen someday if The Bold and the Beautiful will just commit to casting this hunk, but we have to wonder if another romance would really be a lasting one for Steffy.
After all, Scott Clifton is pretty much The Bold and the Beautful’s main leading man. B&B Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley Bell seems to really like Clifton’s work, so Liam’s always a huge part of the love stories on B&B. Unless that changes, it’s tough to imagine Steffy swearing off Liam for good.
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood also happens to have great onscreen chemistry with Clifton, so that’s always going to be tough for the show to pass up. It’s undoubtedly a big part of why Liam and Steffy always seem to drift back to each other.
B&B tries to sell Liam and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) as the “meant to be” love story sometimes, but it’s difficult to buy it when Liam finds ways to wind up back with Steffy.
If Steffy moves on with a new man, will she just break his heart in the end? It’s been established that Liam and Steffy are always going to carry love for each other. They’re always going to have a reason to spend plenty of time together, too.
Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Gray) serves as a permanent way to connect Liam and Steffy, but the pull of their history and romantic connection is strong as well.
It’s easy to imagine Steffy falling for someone else and not being able to make it work because of her ex. Liam’s jealousy could be a problem – and so could Steffy’s lingering feelings, which are certainly always going to be there on some level.
If The Bold and the Beautiful ever casts a new hunk, it’d probably just be a matter of time until Steffy’s new love story imploded for the sake of a “Steam” reunion.
