The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) may have finally made the move that will likely cost him a romantic future with either Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) or Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) ever again.
As B&B viewers know, Liam slept with Steffy after he thought he saw Hope cheating with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), but Liam was dead wrong about what he witnessed.
Liam’s knee-jerk reaction back to Steffy is almost certainly going to come back to haunt him. Cheating secrets don’t tend to stay secret on soaps for very long, so at some point Hope is going to find out about what Liam did with Steffy, and she’s probably going to be appalled.
For Hope, the cheating will be bad enough, but she’ll probably also be pretty upset that Liam just assumed that she cheated on him first.
It’s actually pretty ridiculous to think that Liam knew that there was a life-sized Hope mannequin in Thomas’ apartment, but he never once stopped to think that he might have seen Thomas with the mannequin instead of with Hope.
Hope will probably be furious that Liam jumped to the conclusion that she cheated, especially in light of the mannequin factor, and that he didn’t talk with her before hopping into bed with Steffy.
And knowing that Hope will soon be worried sick about Thomas once he’s diagnosed with a serious brain condition, that’s not going to serve to bring Hope and Liam any closer.
In fact, we’ll probably see Hope busy herself with helping Thomas to get better while she estranged from Liam for his cheating. That means that Hope and Thomas will be growing closer, and there’s the potential that love will blossom there.
Of course, Thomas already loves Hope, but something tells us that as Thomas recovers and becomes a whole, attentive father again for Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), that will probably look pretty attractive to Hope.
Plus, Thomas can give Hope something that Liam can’t – his loyalty and devotion and the promise of no cheating with his ex.
So, it stands to reason that Liam may very well lose Hope to Thomas in the new year. But what about Steffy? He always has her to fall back on, right? Well, this time there’s another man in the picture – John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), who will very likely fight for Steffy even after it comes out that she cheated.
In fact, there’s reason to think that Finn will place most of the blame for Steffy’s cheating onto Liam.
Let’s face it, Liam probably shouldn’t have enticed Steffy into drinking so heavily with him, given that she’s a recovering addict, and Finn might be very upset about that.
Whatever the case, Finn appears to really love Steffy and he’s likely not going to walk away from her. Plus, Steffy seems to really want Finn, too, and she seemed genuinely appalled with herself for sleeping with Liam again. Finn and Steffy will probably do their best to work things out.
So, where does this leave Liam? Well, it would seem that it would leave Liam needing a new love interest, if Hope’s off with Thomas and Steffy’s off with Finn. That’s going to leave Liam with all his romantic bridges totally burned. Perhaps TPTB need to bring on a new woman for Liam!
We’ll see what happens as we approach the new year, but the romantic scene on B&B could look very different in a few months, with Liam out in the cold and totally the result of his own choices.
