The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Monday, February 24 Recap - Hope's Jealous Temper Tantrum - Brooke Makes Ridge A Deal

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Monday, February 24, reveal that Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) busted out the champagne in the Forrester living room to celebrate Zoe Buckingham’s (Kiara Barnes) engagement to Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) snarked that she was surprised that Zoe said yes.

Zoe remarked about hearing Thomas say that he loved her during the proposal, which Brooke noted that Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) heard as well, causing him to run upstairs.

Zoe said that she felt terrible about that and she hoped that he was upstairs explaining things to Douglas. Zoe thought that eventually, Douglas would come around and they’d have a great relationship.

Meanwhile, upstairs in Douglas’ bedroom, Douglas begged Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) to say that she’d marry Thomas. Thomas walked in the room, and Douglas asked who he wanted to marry more – Zoe or Mommy.

Hope told Douglas that she couldn’t marry Thomas again, and Thomas piped in, “But Zoe can.” Hope was horrified as Thomas went on about how he and Douglas were going to create a new family with Zoe.

An exuberant Thomas continued on, saying that now Douglas would have two moms. Douglas promptly pointed out that he already had two moms – Mommy Hope and his Mommy in heaven. Thomas then mentioned “Mommy Zoe,” to which Douglas replied, “She’s not my Mommy.”

Hope pulled Thomas aside and blasted him for springing all of this on Douglas and calling Zoe his mother already. But Thomas told Hope that he found someone who loved him in a way that she never would, and that Zoe was giving him another chance. Douglas pouted on the bed during all of this and refused to go back down to the living room.

Back down in the living room, Eric and Quinn retired for the evening, and Zoe got a text from Thomas to give him a few minutes, then to come upstairs. Eric relayed that Zoe was a wonderful addition to the family, which Zoe appreciated.

Over in his bedroom, Thomas talked with Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) via phone. Vinny was exasperated to learn that Thomas proposed to Zoe, and that he did it in front of the whole family, including Douglas.

Vinny blasted Thomas for proposing when he doesn’t love Zoe, to which Thomas replied, “I love what she does for me; I could do worse.” Thomas then indicated that he had another big surprise for Douglas and Hope on the way.

Back down in the living room, Zoe headed upstairs to meet Thomas in his room, while Brooke and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) stayed behind. Brooke immediately noted that she didn’t like Zoe, but even she didn’t deserve to be treated this way by Thomas.

Bridge bickered for a bit about whether Thomas was sincere in his relationship with Zoe, with Ridge saying that it was a positive step for Thomas and Brooke remaining skeptical of Thomas’ motives.

Ridge thought that it should make Brooke happy that Thomas was moving on with Zoe, but Brooke said there was no chance that he’d go through with the wedding. She then offered to believe that Thomas was moving on, and maybe to even forgive him, if he actually went through with the wedding to Zoe.

Up in Thomas’ room, Zoe walked in to find a romantic setup with candles around the room and rose petals on the bed. They kissed romantically, and Zoe cried happy tears, saying that she was a little overwhelmed. They continued kissing, while next door in Thomas’ room, Hope finished reading a book to Douglas, who was asleep.

Zoe and Thomas then very loudly giggled and carried on in their room, bumping into furniture in the process. That caused Hope to come barging in the room asking them what they thought they were doing.

Thomas, who was at this point laying on the bed with Zoe, noted that he and Zoe were simply celebrating, and Hope blasted them for being loud enough for Douglas to hear.

Hope then turned to Zoe and asked if she was absolutely sure she wanted to marry someone who was still in love with another woman, which prompted Zoe to point out that she was the one in Thomas’ bed right now. Thomas then said he’d be honest, and that he loved them both, but in different ways.

Zoe stepped into the bathroom to freshen up, while Hope and Thomas talked. Thomas said it was weird of Hope to barge in on them, and Hope fired back that he could have traumatized Douglas. Hope wanted to know why Thomas needed to move on so quickly and rush into engagement when he knew it would hurt Douglas.

Thomas fired back that he was doing what was best for Douglas…with Zoe. Zoe then returned to the room, and Hope left, leaving Thomas and Zoe kissing happily. Hope then lingered outside the door, looking totally disturbed.
