The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) should be floored by some big news. B&B fans know Ridge got blackout drunk in Vegas, so he clearly doesn’t remember what went down at that all-night wedding chapel! Denise Richards (Shauna Fulton) has indicated that Shauna’s a married woman, but there are some problems to consider.
For starters, this marriage may not be legal. Ridge hadn’t filed the divorce papers the last time they were mentioned, so that’s something to keep in mind. Of course, it’s possible The Bold and the Beautiful will rewrite it so Ridge worked out a fast divorce after all.
B&B writers can claim whatever they want happened off screen, but there’s also a possibility Ridge was still married to Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) when he married Shauna. That’d make Shauna and Ridge’s marriage invalid.
Regardless, we have to acknowledge that this blackout drunk wedding scenario isn’t very romantic. Ridge doesn’t even recall saying vows to Shauna, so that’s a pretty terrible way to kick off a marriage. That’d be grounds for an annulment if this wedding’s indeed legal, but that doesn’t mean Ridge will choose that route.
Instead, what if Ridge decides he’s all in on this marriage despite the wacky way it came together? Legal or not, Ridge might determine that he sees a future with Shauna – one where she’s his wife. Shauna definitely brings out Ridge’s impulsive side, maybe he’ll just want to embrace this new life with her.
Will Ridge eventually give Shauna a heartfelt marriage proposal? It’s easy to imagine Ridge doing it up right and really sweeping Shauna off her feet. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers point to Shauna being in a state of pure bliss soon, so Ridge may try to put Brooke behind him.
Under the circumstances, it makes sense for Ridge to propose and ask Shauna to marry him again. Shauna surely deserves a real wedding where her groom can remember committing to her! It’d make up for that drunk Vegas fiasco and kick off a brand-new chapter. As other B&B details emerge, we’ll provide updates.
