The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) recently cheated on their significant others.
Liam and Steffy fell right back into bed together thanks to too much tequila and their familiar connection. Of course, now B&B viewers are wondering who’s really to blame!
We should acknowledge that Steffy and Liam were both willing participants, so they both share some responsibility here. That said, is one more culpable than the others? Let’s go over this situation from both sides and try to figure out who’s most responsible.
Steffy’s betrayal is pretty horrible since John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is basically Mr. Perfect. Finn brings Steffy flowers, he tells her how beautiful she is, he dotes on Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Collette Gray) and so much more. Finn even helped Steffy beat her addiction, so he’s been her hero and everything she could ever want in a man.
However, The Bold and the Beautiful fans know Liam is the one who’s married – and all of this went down because he was ridiculous enough to mistake a mannequin for his own wife. Not to mention Liam had been ranting about how dangerous Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was for what felt like forever.
If Thomas was so dangerous, why didn’t Liam rush in and stop him? Why not confront Thomas and “Hope” about the kiss on the spot? Liam is suddenly ignoring Thomas’ dark history and just assuming Hope is a dirty rotten cheater. It’s tough to even make sense of Liam’s thought process going into this.
Liam was also the one who chose to lean on Steffy instead of going to someone like Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) or cooling off somewhere until he could talk to Hope. It was another classic case of Liam’s usual flip-flopping. Liam consistently plays games with Steffy’s heart, so he deserves some blame for that.
On the other hand, we thought Steffy had found her strength and turned a corner with Finn by her side. Steffy was in a fresh romance with a man she loves, so what was the point in falling back into bed with Liam – a man who’s always going to be torn between Steffy and Hope.
It just seems like a shame to betray Finn like that when Steffy is the only woman Finn wants.
There’s also the matter of the tequila drinking, which doesn’t seem like the best idea considering Steffy recently overcame a pill addiction. Liam shouldn’t have been drinking either though – not if he couldn’t control himself around Steffy with lowered inhibitions.
Bottom line, Steffy and Liam both share plenty of blame in this cheating fiasco. Still, there’s no denying that this wouldn’t have happened if married Liam had just left Steffy alone! We’ll pass along updates as other B&B news becomes available.
