The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that a major custody battle could be brewing once the show resumes airing new episodes. B&B fans know Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) want to keep Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) safe from his father, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). Thomas has exhibited some abusive behavior, so protecting Douglas is the priority.
However, Thomas will surely have made some big changes in his life when he shows back up. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers promise Thomas will reform – although it’s not going to be an overnight process.
Thomas will still have a lot of work to do, but he’ll probably have made great strides when we next see him. Regardless, Thomas isn’t just going to relent and let “Lope” raise his son.
Of course, Thomas is probably going to claim he’s changed and will never manipulate Douglas again. He may take responsibility for hurting Douglas in the past and vow to step up for his son in a big way.
Thomas will likely want the opportunity to prove himself, but it’s doubtful Liam and Hope will trust him enough to give him that – at least not willingly.
That could lead to some custody drama, which could divide the Forrester family. It’d be interesting to see how Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) fit in that battle.
Ridge felt like he got played when he believed in Thomas the last time around. He would probably be wary of being fooled again.
At the same time, Ridge loves his son and certainly wants Thomas to have a solid relationship with Douglas. If Thomas is capable of being a good dad to Douglas, Ridge will want him to be one. It’s hard to imagine Ridge fully supporting “Lope’s” attempt to cut Thomas out of the picture.
Steffy, on the other hand, might think Ridge is just getting the wool pulled over his eyes again. She might stand with Liam and Hope when it comes to protecting Douglas.
Steffy may find it tough to believe that Thomas changed, especially that fast. She might side with “Lope” on keeping Thomas away from Douglas for the kid’s own good.
