The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Tanner Novlan (Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan) is thrilled to be part of the show’s amazing cast. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Novlan opened up about what a wonderful experience it’s been so far. B&B’s newest addition also offered some behind-the-scenes hints and discussed his wife’s Bold and the Beautiful connection.
It turns out Novlan’s mother is a huge B&B fan, so she’s undoubtedly excited about Finn’s latest role. Novlan’s mom even has a dog named Thorne, which says a lot about her love for Bold and the Beautiful characters!
However, it’s Novlan’s spouse, Kayla Ewell (ex-Caitlin Ramirez), who offers a real advantage in terms of preparing for the show.
“It has just been an added bonus to have a veteran like her to be able to run lines with or have some sort of idea,” Novlan said. The Bold and the Beautiful star also had some sweet comments about the cast and crew.
Novlan complimented his main costar, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester), who he’s been working with as B&B builds to Finn and Steffy’s love story.
“But everyone at Bold is so comfortable and so, so giving,” Novlan insisted. “It’s such a family, and [Jacqueline’s] the best, she’s awesome to work opposite of.” It sounds like Novlan is getting along great with Wood, which is fantastic news since they’ll be seeing plenty more of each other!
The Bold and the Beautiful fans have probably heard by now that real-life spouses are being used as stand-ins for intimate scenes – at least whenever possible. Mannequins are also an option, but many B&B stars obviously prefer to kiss their significant others instead.
Will Novlan’s wife make her Bold and the Beautiful comeback as a stand-in? Novlan admitted he hasn’t shot any love scenes at this point, but he joked about using it as an excuse to squeeze in close moments with Ewell.
“We haven’t shot any [intimate] scenes yet, but it kind of works for me at home, because if I ever want to schmooze on my wife, I can just say, ‘Hey, honey, I need to rehearse with you — this is protocol!'” Novlan said.
Novlan seems like a good fit at B&B, so we’ll look forward to seeing his new storyline with Steffy. As other B&B news and updates emerge, we’ll bring you up to speed.
