The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Thursday, December 31, reveal that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) talked happily at the cliff house, while Steffy eyed the paper bag sitting on the coffee table that she had brought home.
Finn mentioned wanting a future with Steffy, but he got interrupted by a work text and had to go. Steffy looked at the paper bag earnestly.
Meanwhile, at the cabin, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) continued their conversation. Hope wanted to know why Liam was so upset, and she urged Liam to tell her what was wrong so she could help him. Liam said that what he had to say would be hard for Hope to hear.
Hope assumed that Liam was probably mad at Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) because she was allowing Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) to stay at the main house.
Liam tried to get a word in edgewise, saying that Thomas was a part of this in a way, but that it wasn’t how Hope was thinking. Hope continued on about Liam not wanting Thomas in the main house, and finally Liam blurted out that this was about Steffy.
Just then, Steffy called Liam, and Liam tried to ignore the call, but Hope insisted that Liam answer it since it could be about Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Gray).
Liam answered, and Steffy said that she needed to see Liam at the cliff house pronto. Hope insisted that Liam go right away, and Liam assured Hope that their marriage was important to him before he took off.
Hope went up to the main house to talk with Brooke, but she found Thomas instead. Thomas wondered if Hope was ok, since she kept looking at her phone anxiously.
Hope disclosed that Liam rushed over to Steffy’s, and Thomas figured it was probably something about Kelly. Hope thought that whatever it was, Liam and Steffy could handle it as parents.
At Steffy’s place, Liam arrived and Steffy said that there was something that Liam needed to know. But first, Steffy wondered if Liam was about to tell Hope the truth. Liam admitted that he was about to, but that he didn’t. “You can’t,” Steffy insisted. “It will destroy your relationship.”
Liam insisted that there was a chance that Hope would forgive him, since it was just one night. Steffy looked miserable, and she said that it wasn’t just one night anymore, and that they couldn’t move on. Liam wondered what Steffy meant, and she said that their affair might change their lives forever.
“I thought it could be a secret memory, but that’s not the case anymore,” Steffy said. “That’s why I called you. I’m pregnant, Liam,” Steffy said matter-of-factly. Liam looked startled and confused.
Meanwhile, in the Forrester Creations design office, Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) told Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) had just offered her a job.
Paris thought it was awesome, but Zoe said that it wasn’t awesome at all. Paris looked stunned as Zoe said that Paris absolutely should not take the job.
“It’s my world,” Zoe said, and she mentioned both Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) as she fumed that everyone here was “hers” and not “yours.”
“I get that – I’m not trying to take anything from you,” Paris said. “You want to copy my every move,” Zoe fumed. “Just like when we were kids. Can’t you have your own path?”
Zoe then said that she was drawing the line and that she forbade Paris from working at Forrester Creations. Paris got put off, and Zoe said that Paris could succeed anywhere, but not there.
Paris said that Zoe should be proud of her, and she wondered why Zoe was so threatened. Zoe said that she wasn’t threatened, and Paris said that she was too.
“You will never step foot here again,” Zoe demanded. “I’m serious – you cannot accept this job. You can work anywhere, just not Forrester Creations.” Paris looked peeved and ready to attack.
