The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 15, reveal that Liam Spencer (Scot Clifton) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) continued their discussion about their night together at the cliff house.
Liam told Steffy not doubt what it meant to him, and Steffy said that while it shouldn’t have happened, she didn’t regret it.
Liam agreed, saying that he wouldn’t regret the feeling that he might have a life with Steffy and Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Colette Gray) again. “Yeah, I know it well,” Steffy said. “And I know it can never be.”
Liam said that in retrospect he should have known that it wasn’t Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) kissing Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Steffy told Liam not to be hard on himself, and that he made an understandable mistake. “Being with you is a memory I’ll keep in my back pocket for a while,” Liam said. Steffy liked knowing that their night together meant something to Liam.
Liam and Steffy agreed that their lives had gone in different directions, and that they’re lucky to have had a relationship together, even though it was over.
Liam mused that it was hard not to think about what it would have meant to Kelly if they had gotten back together. Steffy said that for a moment there it seemed like they were giving Kelly her family back, but that she wanted Liam to be happy with his life now and his choices.
Steffy also pointed out that Kelly was thriving, and that Liam needed to stop feeling guilty.
“You’re loved by Kelly and me, no matter what,” Steffy said. The conversation then turned to what Steffy and Liam were going to do about their secret, and Steffy insisted that Liam couldn’t tell Hope.
Steffy lamented about her relationship with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), and she said that she wasn’t willing to lose him. Liam thought that maybe Finn would understand. “After all the warning signs he received?” Steffy fumed.
Steffy went on, saying that if they disclosed their affair, then it would destroy Hope and cause Hope and Finn pain. Steffy asked Liam to let it go, and she said that she was overwhelmed with Thomas’ brain surgery and that they needed to move on and please not tell Hope.
Liam said that he was sorry for causing so much pain and confusion, and that he loved Steffy and always would.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Thomas asked Hope if she was upset that he said he loved her. “It doesn’t seem right to lie. It isn’t who I am anymore,” Thomas said. Hope seemed a little uncomfortable but not too bothered by Thomas’ admission.
Soon, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) walked in with good news – the neurosurgeon said that his scans looked normal.
Ridge told Hope that Liam had a conference call and that Steffy went to check in on Kelly. Hope hurriedly stepped out to go check on Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri).
Ridge looked inquisitive about Hope and Thomas, and he told Thomas that he knew that he and Hope had kissed.
Ridge said that he knew that Thomas had been working hard and getting better, and that Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) was a little concerned since Thomas had been obsessed with Hope.
“But seeing her look at you and knowing about the kiss…” Ridge said. “Maybe we were all wrong about the relationship you have.”
“Dad, stop, there’s something you need to know,” Thomas said uncomfortably. Thomas proceeded to say that he did something stupid and took the mannequin.
Ridge said that he knew about the mannequin that Thomas used for design inspiration. Thomas then interrupted Ridge and said that it wasn’t Hope that he was kissing. Ridge looked confused.
Out in the waiting area, Hope bumped into Finn. Finn asked how Hope thought that Thomas was doing psychologically since he woke up.
Hope said that Thomas was really scared that he might have lost his mind, and that there was something she wanted to mention – something Thomas did that was disturbing. Hope then told Finn that Thomas kissed the mannequin thinking it was her, and Finn was astounded.
