We see a woman coughing, she is getting a coffee and leaves a tip in a jar for the server. Shaun is drinking orange juice when Lea comes in the house, she forgot something. Shaun asks her when she is going to stay over, she says on Saturday she will spend the night. Shaun smiles.

The same woman who was getting the coffee is now in front of Morgan, she has a high fever and a cough. She says her daughter thinks she might have Coronavirus, even though she didn’t go to China. Morgan tells her that a sore throat is not one of the symptoms of Coronavirus, she probably just has a bad flu. Two weeks later, the same woman is in the hospital and Audrey tells her that the virus has damaged her lungs, she definitely has Coronavirus.

Another patient is diagnosed with the virus by Shaun, his name is Martin. Shaun tells him to go home, stay away from people, and rest – there is no treatment. Morgan and Alex are examining a woman who is pregnant and has the virus; Alex orders a room for her. Meanwhile, Aaron is stuck at home because he is over 65 and more likely to catch the virus and it is driving him nuts not to be in the hospital.

Audrey is taking care of the same woman and she tells her daughter that she has to put her mother on a ventilator.

Shaun’s patient is back, Martin can’t stop coughing and he lost ten pounds. Shaun finds that his blood oxygen is dangerously low. Shaun’s orders him to be admitted to the Covid-19 floor.

The pregnant patient is still sick, Alex is taking care of her; when he is behind her he looks really worried.

Marcus gets home, he has everything set up in the garage for him to sleep there and not infect his family.

It is a state of emergency, week four. Alex is staying at Shaun’s apartment and he freaks out when he uses one of Lea’s cabinets. Alex tells Shaun that he misses Lea. Shaun says he doesn’t and he doesn’t want to see her and risk her to exposure to the virus.

The woman’s daughter is back at the hospital again, she desperately wants to see her mother and is told by Claire that she cannot permit her entrance into the hospital. Meanwhile, Shaun’s patient is getting worse, Martin’s lungs are filling with fluid and secretions. His wife is on Facetime and she is freaking out, she is a medical worker and is convinced she brought this home to him. Alex’s pregnant patient is also getting worse.

At home, Aaron is upset with his wife. He can’t go to work, but she put on a mask and went out to buy clams. She tells him that she is younger than he is and she just wants to make it fun for the two of them. Aaron is not impressed and tells her they are not on a cruise.

Shaun is with Martin, he listens to his heart and finds that he has a murmur, and he may have a bacterial abscess on his heart valve. Shaun rushes Martin out of the room.

Audrey and Claire go outside the hospital and tell the woman’s daughter that her mother didn’t make it.

Shaun gets an idea from Martin’s wife, since she Facetimed Martin, he decides to Facetime Lea. Aaron’s wife goes into his office and asks when he is going to take a break, he doesn’t want to. He is acting like he is busy, and when she comes around to his computer she finds that he is playing a card game on his computer and she gets annoyed.

Martin is told that he is expected to have a full recovery of the heart. Martin’s wife is on Facetime and she hears music in the background, it is the song “celebration.” She asks Martin what that is, he says someone is going home. We see all the medical staff cheering the patient as he leaves in a wheelchair. Alex tells his pregnant patient that he needs to put her on a ventilator, it will be better for her and the baby.

The woman who past, her daughter shows up back at the hospital, she wants a gold cross necklace that her mother was wearing. Claire tells her it won’t be released until after the crisis, and she is sorry. Claire feels bad, she tells her to let her see if she can find it, she will clean it and get it to her.

Aaron’s wife tells him that she is going for a walk on the beach. The two get into an argument because he won’t go for a walk and he doesn’t want her to go for one.

Alex is in the operating room, the baby is out and breathing. He is so happy that she is pink, active, and breathing great. He looks over at the mother, who doesn’t look too well.

Morgan has a patient, Walter, he came in for diverticulitis, turns out he has Coronavirus and she and everyone else he passed in the hall since coming in the hospital have been infected.

Shaun is at home, Lea is knocking at the door, he tells her she can’t come in. She slides something under the door, it is a plastic monkey to help him with his mask so it doesn’t rub his ears. She says she knows she can’t go in but she doesn’t want to leave. He tells her to stay there, she sits outside his door, he sits down on the inside. He tells her that Alex is making pancakes in the morning, but his pancakes are not good and he has told him before.

Aaron wakes up in the middle of the night, his wife is not in bed with him. He finds her sleeping in the spare room, he wakes her, she tells him to shut the door and go back to his room, he crawls into bed with her.

Claire is in the room where all the possessions belonging to the COVID-19 victims, the room is packed. She sees Neil, he tells her everything is going to be ok.
